Adam I want to thank you for being real & showing your vulnerabilities which is actually a sign of strength & not a weakness at all. I found your channel at a time when I was at the brink of a burn out. I was feeling really stressed and couldn't find an outlet. I don't remember how, but I came by one of your videos one night when I couldn't sleep. I started watching one video after another & before I knew it I have been binge watching your videos for 3 days straight. Your videos helped clear my head & really brought me peace...I finally felt like I stopped falling into this darkness I was heading towards & was able to breathe again. Watching you & Bernardo simply living your life & going through what you were going through really helped me put some perspective into my life. It wasn't necessarily a specific video or specific event..just watching your beautifully produced videos and listening to your soothing voices put me in a trance..I was finally able to relax, clear my head & regroup. Thank you..truly thank you to you and Bernardo. I wish you are able to find the peace you have given me 😊 I love you both and will wait for you as long as it takes. Hi Adam & Bernardo. I wasn't going to write anything but before I lose the opportunity of thanking you two for what you've done for me, I thought I might do it today. I started watching you guys in 2018, I admired your love for each other and the adventures you took. I felt like I went on every journey with you across the world. It was only months later that I was struck with the worst case of depression. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I just didn't want to exist anymore. By the time January 2019 came around, my life changed forever, and I sank so deep in depression I saw no way out. At this point I wanted to take my life. I struggled for the entire 2019 trying to find support or the will to carry on. I couldn't find either. That's when watching your videos started to give me a glimmer of hope. To see your happiness thrive. In a foreign country where I had no family no friends, Stepsof2foreigners change my downward trajectory and I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You 2 may never understand the significance of your videos, and how it saved my life. Had it not been for your videos I wouldn't be here today. I came from a place so dark I never knew I could stand here today, and you (Adam & Bernardo) are the heroes behind my story. I love you both and I appreciate every content you put out for us to see. I want to say that I'm so glad that you are here and I will have to say that you will have NO IDEA how much it meant to me reading your comment. My mind has been focused on the few negative comments I've received on here (some have been quite harsh, which I knew I would receive so I tried to mentally prepare myself for it.). This is the first comment that I have read from the video that has shared what our videos have done for them and how they have helped you when you needed them. I have to say that your comment came when I needed it. I hope that you are getting the help you need whether it be with a therapist or sharing with a friend your struggles. Yeah, I would have to agree with Andre. My husband stumbled upon your videos a few years ago when dealing with cancer. It was nice traveling with you all and experiencing things out here and I could not at the time. He hasn’t gone on to bigger and better things leaving me here, physically solo. I have fallen into that same deep depression mentioned by Andre I’m. Every time my notification goes off and I see your true faces with a new video. It gives me power to move towards my goals again. And I would do anything to be able to go back and experience his physical presence. So I say to you thank you for all the power that you’ve given to me and I share it back to you! Adam, when I first came across the video teaser at a glance I thought you guys had broken up, mainly because it shows you crying and the tittle says "He needed to leave". Gosh, I must confess I really got scared to click play and watch to what I most feared of... Well, once watched to the video all I can tell you now is to be strong and accept his decision. Taking a break of something that we have done for a while is sometimes necessary, specially in a situation like that. Bernardo certainly needed this break and moment to be away. Of course we will all miss him by your side since you guys are two in one. The conection and commitment of you both is something amazing and that transcends the physical aspect. Just watched your latest video Adam and I have to admit that I cried all through it. I could feel your pain. Even if Bernardo is still with you, he is not sharing this video with you. Now you are the one who has to take care of him like he did for you in your darkest moments. We've always seen him as the strong one but I had a feeling that this would eventually happen but your love for each other will pull you through it. It will be tough as it was for him but you have shared so much together that it will come back eventually. We love you and we will be there to support you. Hey Adam and Bernardo! I've never commented on one of your videos (or any video on KZbin for that matter) but that shouldn't give you the idea that I haven't loved watching your journey. Sometimes it wasn't easy to keep up due to being active duty and not always having the internet or time to relax but I am rewatching a lot of the previous videos I've seen and enjoying the new ones that came out this past year. I began watching you both with my partner when you primarily produced travel style videos and I've continued as you've transformed into something much much more. I can truly appreciate what you, Adam, have gone through with your struggles as well as you, Bernardo, for being that rock and anchor for your love. I think what got to me the most from this most recent video was how I can relate to it. Though I've not gone through the same things as you Adam, I, like so many others, have been through struggles of my own (mostly from military life and those horrible early memories of learning who I was and not having support) that sometimes leave me on the floor uncontrollably sobbing and not understanding why. I get lost in a cloud of darkness and there is little that can get me out. But then my partner comes to me and holds me tight until I have let everything out. Simply holding me and just being there with me is enough to show me the way out. He is my anchor and does so much for me so effortlessly which makes things that much more difficult now that I am so far from him for the next 8 months and without his embrace. I just need to remind myself that these difficult times are sometimes necessary to truly appreciate the amazing times that so many take for granted. I know you have the support of so many people already but I still want to say that I believe in what you two have built and I just hope and pray that my relationship with my love can be just as resilient during the rough times. I'll leave you with this: You guys have something so special and are the gold standard for so many people. I know it hurts to have him away from you but, like you said, he is finding his light now and by letting him go on that journey (whether it be near or far) by you remaining steadfast in your love and commitment to him, you are being a caretaker. It may not be the same style as his care-taking methods he provided to you, but what he needs may be different than what you needed and the way of acquiring it may be different as well. Knowing you'll be there with open arms when he returns, I'm sure, is so reassuring to Bernardo. I apologize for the novel but I've never been one to use 5 words when 5,000 would do. Looking forward to seeing you in future videos. Keep your spirits up and keep believing in love :)

This is the first comment I have ever made on one of your videos but this video really inspired me to say something. I have been watching your videos since the beginning, since I was 15, closeted, and felt guilty for watching videos about a “gay” couple. I’m 20 now and was brave enough to come out to my loved ones and pursue a relationship with a man that I love. It’s insane to see how much growth you guy’s have had over the years and how much you guy’s have inspired my personal growth as well. I honestly don’t think I’d be where I’m at if it weren’t for your videos. Bernardo does add that sense of peace to your videos and it will be missed but at the same time things change and evolve and maybe this could be a time for you (Adam) to really show us who you are. This could be videos about your mental health journey or self growth/habit building videos. I’m sure whatever you do even if you choose to take a break will be best for you.

What a beautiful comment, thank you. Social media does have its pros and cons. I got to witness and feel the difference when you are off of it for some time but I also realized that I missed creating. With this video, I got to see just how much Bernardo has done for me. I have explored with Dr. Solomon my love for filming moments, always having a camera... a lot came from my dad when he got that camcorder and It's amazing to have these videos to go back and watch. As I mentioned in the video, it was quite confusing when I was learning and processing everything that Dr. Solomon was sharing with me and now that things are becoming calmer on the inside and I have had time to process and deal with some issues, I'm lighter and in a much better place. I have suffered depression and anxiety throughout my life, but your videos have always brought a smile to my face - truly! Social media can cause a lot of mental health problems. Take a break from social media and let Bernardo decide on his own if/when he wants to pick it up again. It's very empowering when we have the opportunity to make decisions for ourselves without social pressure. For yourself: go take long outdoor walks/hikes, do yoga, and go to a quiet sauna to meditate on your feelings.

I remember in one of your videos (can't remember the title), Bernardo was talking about how he hasn't made many connections since he moved to the US. That gave me the impression that you too may be spending too much time together and that he is sort of losing his "me time". Communication is the key. You can work things out. Just talk to each other and be honest about how you really feel.

Yes. From one moment to the next everything can change, yet it is very hard to imagine what could have happened between the two that would lead to such a radical transformation. Would it really have happened? Adam has not made this explicit, rather, all would be well except for a healing and temporary separation while Bernardo rebalances his spirit as Adam once repaired his mental health and addiction. Adam would not lie to us; presenting the truth seems to have always been one of the bravest characteristics of his personality. I posted a two-part comment on this video (number of characters over limit). Manually searching for my name will be very difficult to find, if you want to read it. YT has a search method that consists of doing Ctrl+F (Windows) or Command+F (Mac). A text box appears at the top of the screen; type the name, mine in this case, or part of it. The system will indicate with a color the occurrences of the typed string. Unfortunately, things don't quite work out like that. It seems that when there are too many comments, the search crashes and stops at the first characters typed. I found that the computer needs a little human help, quite "analog". It is necessary first to show to the machine all the comments, that is, to scroll before its blindness the entire YT page, or the vicinity where we suppose our text may be (and if we knew, why use the tool?...). This means sliding the scrollbar all the way down, and there are several ways to do this. My favorite is to click with the mouse wheel in the upper region of the screen and drag down the icon with a dot and two arrows that point up and down. Leave the cursor at the bottom of the screen until scrolling stops. Once this initial step is complete, start typing the name in the text box and will be located in the respective comment with a highlight color. Small dashes will appear on the scroll track at each occurrence of the typed string. The search tool will pretend to have done it all by itself.

I've been watching you guys since the beginning and following you all on Instagram before that. I remember when Bernando's dad passed and I wrote a condolence message on Instagram because I was freshly dealing with the loss of my mom at the time and I can't remember if it was him or Adam, but one of you replied and told me to remember that she is watching over me always. And I thought that was the kindest words coming from someone who didn't know a thing about me other than supporting them online. Especially considering so many people who were closer to me at the time were so heartless about the situation I was going through; kind words from two strangers really changed my life at the time. Every now and then even years later, I find myself going back and reading it for nostalgic purposes. You two were a big part of my healing process at the time and never even knew it.
