Sri Lanka, Weligama. I went to try the famous Sri Lankan Dolphin Kottu!
As I was walking around Weligama, I stumbled upon a local Dolphin Kottu restaurant and was greeted by Mohammed. His passion for cooking was obvious and his smile was infectious! The man was full of smiles from ear to ear
I tried his Dolphin Kottu and boy! I was in for a treat! That dish was cooked with love! It was incredible!

For anyone who got confused with the no place to sit and empty bottle , 1.That shop is only for take away orders. That's why the chef offered Ali a little bit of dolphin koththu just to try there and was ready to pack the rest.And the spoon is cleaned with a paper to dry out. 2. The bottle is already purchased by them and should return the empty. Ginger beer was from another shop and chef ordered it for Ali. Thank you.

Names of food in srilanka are really funny ali machan We have kimbula banis,(which literrally translates into crocodile bun).it has nothing to do with crocodiles We also have weli thalapa,a local food."weli" translates to "sand".But welithalapa has nothing to do with sand. So is dolphin kottu,no dolphins involved.Lankan food is just as good as its people

If possible, visit the North, North Central and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka. It will be a different experience. Different food, different climate especially there are very beautiful seas in the east. There is a beautiful environment. I recommend going to see Vedda People on the Dambana side, Jaffna, trincomalee, anuradhapura, polonnaruwa, ampara, arugambay beach, Udwalawa is another beautiful place in Sri Lanka. Kitulgala white water rafting, sri padaya ❤️

MMMMMMMMMM. I love Dahl. Such a simple but delicious nutritious food. I love it with rice and roti both. Iraqi food is great too. We had a cafe in my city owned by an Iraqi family and their lamb stews and chicken dishes and variety of breads and yoghurt were to die for. We could also sit outside and smoke sheesha, which I love.

Bro a little I know about the"Dolphin Kottu". It is doesn't have any Dolphin meat in them😂 but the named is derived from the shape in which the parata bread is cut. In normal Kottu the parata is chopped into tiny pieces but in Dolphin kottu the parata is shredded into long stripes like generally. So the shape is a bit like a dolphin leaping out of the water. That is the closest explanation for the name
