You still have a habit of ignoring the larger holds. The +2 1point hold extends to +12 2 point hold and has the same amout of territories as the 1 point +4. Additionally it further extends into a +20 2 point hold.

Was surprising to me, I'm a very new and inexperienced player, so I make a lot of mistakes, attacking others too early, late, not breaking bonuses, breaking too many, etc. But spotting extended holds is one of the first things I always do. Portals make it less useful of a hold tbf but definitely better than trying to take both ends of the map, I'd think.

Yeah he's not great at spotting honey pots. And tends to not go for bonuses much. TBF with portals it makes it far less attractive, and holding lots of bonuses makes you a target for being broken. CG playing it safe usually works out for him. The left and right hand sides of the boards are both a 1 point hold if you can grab that middle Island. If it were non portal caps that would be a god tier capital.

As you can tell getting 3 to 4 troops a turn before that point as blue did, makes it long and hard to get such a bonus, not to mention the portals that make it more hold points than what was said. Getting a quick and small bonus means you are hard to find if someone wants to break you, but also not a huge threat anyways I must thank you for all the effort you put into weakening those large territories, that way I can sweep into you while your hold point is much smaller than mine

Most games he talks about noobs only thinking about bonuses, because if you hurt to many people on your conquest they team up. A FFA game means everyone wants to win, so Its a funny dichotomy that largely is a cooperative game with all those that are weaker than the person in the lead. Those that try to become strong first normally lose

@DaTimmeh that there is my point. Also he couldve pushed for the right side, take 30-40 troops net gain from bonuses, then let them push him while searching for eliminations. I've seen him do that exact strategy.

I mean he won, so I can't complain that much, but there were so many chances for him to take complete control of the right side going from a 1 point hold for 2, to a 2 point hold for 12, to a 1 or 2 point hold for 22 and he just kind of didn't care and just wanted to agitate the other players
