What the events in Gaza revealed is the ugly face of Western regimes that apply double standards according to interests and not moral values. In addition to this, the Americans and Europeans will feel the weakness of their financial ability, which will increase even more to finance wars that they have no interest in starting except to please the arms lobbies and cartels. Economic monopoly. Now the Americans and Europeans will feel the loss of the highest value, which is freedom of expression, under the pretext of anti-Semitism. Unfortunately, Europe is heading toward civil wars, and American citizens will finance wars that will destroy their purchasing power and increase their poverty and suffering.

Not to mention the fact that the warnings are superficial. If they really wanted to get Israel to listen they could just side line their security guarantees and supply of arms as you mentioned for a while and pressure the Israelis into a corner when more of the Arab world starts to take notice that the big brother is not there to protect them anymore. The current heads of strategic and security departments in the US are so attached to the old status quo that they are not taking note of the current status quo and generalized sentiment amongst the younger population. Most of the policies they implement are catered towards the older generations ambitions if you take a deeper look and do not serve much benefit to the rest of society as they are outdated. The US 's own statistics amongst the younger generation further support this. Overall, the US does not know what it is doing anymore and it is starting to make it self look incredibly weak to it's adversaries as it continues to behave without any true direction. Let's be honest. What is the American mission in the greater geopolitical realm anymore? Does anyone actually even know anymore?

Or the million+ Uyghers forcibly incarcerated in "re-education camps" in China. I mean, those situations are WAY worse than what he actually decided to "take a stand" for. Makes you wonder what it is about this particular conflict that makes everyone pretend so hard to care about. I mean, if you don't give a sh*t about all those dead Syrians, or the 14 million living Syrian displaced refugee - why would you care so, so much! about a much smaller number of palestinians? "ya gotta start somewhere!" they always say. funny how everyone always "starts" at the exact same place. (and also ends there.) if this describes you (and it describes the vast majority of the pro-Palestinians), guess what....you're antisemites.

Thank you so much, Mr. Josh Paul, your words and act are so powerful , honorable and precious in these terrible times. Thank you a thousand times. I am from Croatia, Europe and these Israeli crimes are unbearable. I pray every day and night for the US, UK and EU to change their policy towards the Israeli government. Thank you for your humanity in this time of hypocrisy and unsustainable crimes that have been going on. The hearts of decent people all around the world are broken. Only hypocrites and psychopaths can be untouched by all these terrible things we are witnessing in Gaza and the West Coast. “The situation is unspeakable and will remain unspeakable I think for generations and decades. [It] has been the culmination of the Palestinian experience for a hundred years, since the British mandate and the beginning of settler colonialism with Zionists immigration into Palestine. It is really beyond words to describe what it means to be a Palestinian in this moment. The accumulation of multigenerational trauma and memories that activates in each one of us. Previous memories we’ve tried to overcome with hope and a flare for life and for freedom only to find that there is always some horrific episode that reminds us that we are ON THIS Earth IN THIS time liable to be MASSACRED and LIED ABOUT. “ Dr. Fady Joudah, a Palestinian-American poet, practicing physician and poetry translator, November 9th 2023

@@michelsheko8529 You know that there are Christian Palestinians, right? The Israelis bombed the third oldest church in the world, that survived 1500 years of Muslim rule, and killed many people that had taken refuge there.

Out of interest, what's the public's view in Croatia? In Australia, the government & media are towing the Israel line our US allies want us to, but some are starting to break at least a little, due to unrelenting protests from the public. Aussie culture says we support & protect the underdog & gang up on the bully, so there is no question at all as to who the average Aussie supports - and always has. We also have FAR more Palestinians in this country than Israelis, so that's a factor in our country's attitudes too. I have no idea how common the attitudes here are around the world, curious if you have similar
@am11569 ай бұрын
I would also like to know what the public thinks. I believe the official Croatian stance is very pro Israel, for the same reason as Germany. During the WWII Croatia was a German puppet state.

American's are pretty simple people with below average intelligence. They take things as black and white. It is called grandstanding. If this man cared truely as he claims, he would use his position and take a stand within that position. That is the point of politics. Simply jumping shit to generate media and hype around yourself is grandstanding. he cares more about how Americans see him than actually making change. Maybe one day Americans will learn about the evolution of politics since ancient Greece. No doubt he does care to an extent. Not to mention, he keeps using the data Hamas has been putting out rather than neutral bodies. He says 6000 children, neutral bodies are saying its closer to 3k. This for me is extremely concerning, using Hamas numbers over independent neutral bodies. This man has an agenda. Same as every modern politician. He will be back, once he gets enough fame from his "moral stance". He is playing politics, he doesn't care about the issue at hand more than he cares about himself.

I can't blame the guy for rejecting a policy of ethnic cleansing. If his moral code went against the administration, & no one was listening to him, then quitting makes complete sense. The man arguably has more influence right now.
