Tea and coffee,two plants I will never grow. How come it's not branded from Ghana or Kenya in the west? When am Making tea it's marked English tea. Where in Britain do they grow and pick tea? Where in America do they do this hard labor in the west to grow coffee.. not fair!
@cathymuwaki104 жыл бұрын
Challenge is that we are not great consumers of coffee ( due to colonial history/ it was mainly meant for the master). We need to challenge this stereotype.Second it's best sold as green beans rather than packaged.Coffee lovers will prefer a timely roasted bean compared to one that was either roasted and packaged in Kenya/Ethiopia/ Tanzania....simply because it's quality is affected -moisture , mouthful , aftertaste etc What Nana is doing is a step in the right direction to break the chain of suffering for coffee farmers in Africa.Example in Kenya many coffee farmers have never even taken a cup of coffee. Best benchmark is Ethiopia on the power of understanding the entire value chain from Bean/seed to cup.

This video makes me very happy. coffee is very popular in the west. It is extremely expensive, and Germany is the world biggest exporter of coffee. The west goes around the coffee growing countries and buy the product fresh for little money. They then roast, package and sells it back to us. In the UK there is a coffee cafe around every corner. All supermarkets also have different kinds of package coffee. This is why places like Africa need to start valuing what we have. Stay Blessed.
