This summer will have about no poker, but it will have a lot of dealing poker. I'm dealing the summer poker series at The Orleans on W Tropicana in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2024 Orleans Summer Open is the official name. Here are my tales.

It would be cool to maybe interview a dealer you work with whos been doing it for a while. Like 10 plus years. Ask them questions about memorable hands,memorable players they dealt in, tipping , pros and cons of the job in a long term sense.

Nice recap. It's good to hear general info about the tourneys, player numbers, and prize pools. What other rooms are running "summer tourneys" ... like how is the Aria doing? What about the new room at the Venetian ... open yet? Good to hear you made the right change! Raymer is probably suspicious of everyone after he got robbed in a hotel hallway years ago. GL and hope the days continue smoothly.

I can answer this. Golden Nugget, MGM, Venetian, Wynn and Aria are all running tourney series. Buy ins at Aria are higher but rake is good(~12.5%). I think only WSOP has better rake. Orleans is best after that I think. I didn't look at Venetian. MGM and Nugget rob you. New Venetian room will probably open after WSOP ends

Is it the Series event on Sunday? (Going off what it says on PokerAtlas) The $60k Sunday Special with the $200 Buy-in? I plan on arriving in LV on Sunday Morning / Early Afternoon and would probably have to Late Register for the MTT, but since you've been dealing there for some time now, would you happen to know what time that tournament ends roughly? Because I have to check into my hotel at some point, but I can't until at least 4, just asking to see if I can fit this in.

If you win it'll be late. This last one ended at 7am. The others ended a little earlier than that.

Do you get paid according to amount of chips u have if he has 300k 15buyins and gets paid 10x the Casino keep th 5?

If a player gets to 200,000 or more chips, the player tells the dealer. The dealer counts it and tells the floor. After enough people officially count it, all chips get removed from play and the player gets the prize money. -- It can leave so few chips in play, such that it's impossible for X players to all get to 10x starting stack. When that happens, it becomes a survivor tournament. There might be 15 people left and top 5 get prize money. Either get to 10x starting stack OR still be playing when only 5 players are left.

Can you comment about the 10X your entry fee if you get to 200,000 in chips. Isn't 1st place a lot more than 10X? Why wouldn't the player continue playing to win the tournament?
