The drone is allowed to go up higher at around 14:00 because of the higher "floor" basically the roof of lever is the floor as opposed to normal ground/wall levels. If I remember you can do that with any surface you can get the drone above, that's why he needs to be in that position as the wall is the first floor

as an engineering student I'm confirming that what you said was true because "V=ω * R" the tangential velocity of a certain point on a rotating opject (sova ult in this case) = the angular speed * the distance from the center of rotation (distance between target and sova himself) so more distance between sova and the target = higher chance to catch him with the ult 🤓

@woohoojin the determining factor for how high the drone can fly is the distance from the drone and the floor but things like boxes and all other platforms including the roof over the switch count as the floor so that's why the drone was flying higher than you're used to if I'm droning into heaven after planting default on haven A I usually idle for an extra second over the default box so the drone has time to fly high enough to enter A heaven on haven

I think the sova drone can go so high at 14:05 is because the roof is the new floor of the drone. The drone can only fly a specific height of the floor so lets say the drone can be 10m up from the floor always at all times. And lets say the roof is 9 meter high by flying onto the roof the drone can fly up 10 meters up again because the roof makes the new floor idk if that makes sense

the way the owl drone's verticality works is based on the distance from the ground directly under it. it can fly a certain distance off the ground so that's why sometimes you'd see the drone climb higher as it goes over a wall like in the wall in tiles in ascent with the breakable shield

I feel like the sova drone tech at 13:50 is similar to how cypher cam works. With cypher cam, you only have a certain angle you can look up before it stops letting you place the cam, but if you jump up, you can place it higher than normal. Of course there are limits.

im p sure the drone tech is kinda what you do with it going against walls where if u like try to climb a wall with drone it like slides up and flies super high ive watched too much sinatra and bfr when he was mildly serious abt the game he used to tell shit like this, just like the ult thing that was there in the beginning, he always used to call out his teammate sova plyrs who wld ult from close range and complain abt missing or sova ult being hard and his usual answer is "you need to far away bro you are never hitting that from that close" or sm liek that
@Random_guy5689

So you would know(if you have passed standard 8 that is)when you make a angle ,say 20 degrees .The line gets further away from the straight line . So if you make any changes to a point closer to the point where the angle is starting ,the change in the distance of a point further away from the point from the angle is starting will be greater. So it will be easier to track a enemy from further back while ulting (the point at which the angle is starting).I just wanted to waste my 5 minutes as i just learned this concept in my colledge lecture just today
@julliferjosephtuba2202
@julliferjosephtuba2202 11 ай бұрын
A simpler perspective to the sova ult concept is how fast enemies move around on your screen depending on how far they are from you. When an enemy that's very close poppin swings you, you would need to flick your arm fast and hard to chase them with your crosshair. But when an enemy who's far away (say, 25m+ ) tries to poppin swing, you'd only need to move your mouse slightly with your wrist to get your crosshair to chase them successfully. Now sova's ult is just like being limited to that slow turn speed. This also is the reason why good players will kiss the wall before swinging wide. It's so that they're moving faster on their enemies' screen.

Maybe I'm a dummy, but my brain still has a hard time understanding the "Sova Ult thing being easier to aim at long distances". Like in my brain, I'm thinking that the ult has a huge radius, so at close range, it'd be easier to shoot a target, because it's like using a shotgun up-close. ^ Can anybody explain what's wrong with my logic?

Constantly watch videos of people playing well and analyze patterns and then think about how you can use them in games and what situations they work. Then, visualize yourself in those situations, what do you see that tells you that you can do that play, what does it feel like to execute it, what are variables that can change that make that situation different and the play not so good anymore or perfect. Its all about analyzation, putting yourself in the situation in your mind and training the feeling and recognition, basically programming yourself to look for information and respond to it with certain plays that help your chances of winning or getting kills or good positioning for the round. If you cant recognize these patterns on a dime while watching the game, youre gonna have a hell of a time trying to just do them naturally in game and have those concepts come up. So learn them by watching, apply them one by one playing, review and analyze yourself to see what youre missing, then intentionally work on that in the coming games and isolated practice. Its a lot of work, but coming from an ex competitive overwatch player and coach, thats what it takes and is built around. Got top 150 that way. If you want it, awesome, go for it. Good luck my friend!

Same here. Literally. I'm the same rank right now and playing against Radiants would actually be such an epic learning experience. I'm not sure though but maybe being thrown in a full-radiant lobby would be more useful? With a full asc team you will probably just get stomped and the things you learn might just be learnable through watching vods of your agent.

You couldve just said Hanzo instead just explaining all that
@VanguardOW
@VanguardOW 11 ай бұрын
Hanzo doesnt work for that example because his ult isnt something that you turn to adjust aim and instantly hit someone with it, it goes exactly where you point it on release and slowly approaches it. The point of the explanation is its easier to adjust and turn his ult onto a target when its further away because it will cover more distance with less movement. Vel’ Koz works because youre adjusting it the entire ult and if they’re close its easier to avoid and walk around but if youre far it’ll cover more ground even with its limited turn speed like Sova.
