Jean Montero is putting the world ON NOTICE!! Our guy Jean Montero has been balling out for Team Overtime this year, and even set the scoring record for all of OTE! He's originally from the Dominican Republic, and made a name for himself as one of the top young hoopers down there. Growing up he didn't have much, so he made his own hoop using a bike tire and a broken table so he could play. Jean left home when he was just 13 years old and moved to Spain to play for Real Madrid before inking a deal with Overtime Elite. Now Jean is about to MAKE HISTORY as he's likely going to be the first OTE Player EVER drafted to the NBA! That's changing mi hermano. Ya entro Chris Duarte en la NBA pero el jugo en college aqui en EEUU por la universidad de Oregon. Montero es de alla en el pais. Hopefully with him, there's more players from DR playing in the NBA. Chris and Jean were the start of it. I'm rooting for both of them.

Yes, DR produce a lot of baseball players, but basketball is starting to grow, we're going on the right direction.

Baseball is the dominant sport but DR has produced players throughout the years...Al Horford.. Francisco Garcia... and the one who opened the doors for all.. elite HS Star ( 5 star ) and 1st Round NBA pick Felipe Lopez ( St. Johns). He had an NBA ready game in HS and staying in school for 4 yrs actually stunted his growth.... along w injuries. There's also Karl Towns...and Charlie Villanueva.
