This MC is kinda stupid, unless i missed something, he should still have the revival cross he got at the beginning, so going to the rainforest of rejuvenation was pointless if he was also considering uding the sages protection then the price of the cross, with a nearly identical effect shouldn't be an issue

Because of the single use skill the MC got at the start, any attribute point he doesn't put into his highest attribute is effectively lost once he uses the skill. The different growth skills he has accumulated also incentivize him maxing out his Strength as high as possible to further increase his attribute point accumulation. Simply put: Putting points into Spirit is sub-optimal and lowers his power ceiling.
