X-MEN '97 Lifedeath - Part 2 -During a war between the Shi'ar and Kree empires, Shi'ar empress Lilandra Neramani announces her engagement to a now-healed Xavier. Refusing to accept her sister marrying a Terran, Deathbird invokes the Rite of M'Dashaa and challenges Xavier to purge all of his memories of Earth to prove his loyalty to the Shi'ar. Xavier's refusal to renounce his memories of the X-Men results in a battle between the Shi'ar Imperial Guard and Deathbird until Xavier pulls everyone into the astral plane to educate them on coexistence. When this lesson is interrupted by a psychic vision of Gambit's death, Xavier decides to call off the engagement and return to Earth. At the ranch, Forge uses his mother's spell book to expel the demon and then Storm helps him search for a rare cactus that can cure the poison. Storm finds the cactus in a cave, but is cornered by the Adversary once again. Overcoming her fears, Storm regains her powers and defeats the Adversary. Storm heals Forge, and then they learn about the attack on Genosha. Elsewhere, a terrified Trask is confronted by the person responsible for the attack: Mister Sinister.

Someone else would say ''Hey look, symbolism, she doesn't need to ride a horse to feel like flying, hey she is free, she's in her element, such a creative way to show her freedom, her growth as her power is not the only thing she got back, but she grew as a person too.'' Forge didn't die, did he? It's a cartoon you know? It needs these scenes to convey, basically, anything?

Um Profesor X was never dead. I mean they never showed him die; I mean you kind of open yourself up to that one, It's more complex then that but it's from the original series like a lot of the seres

It’s crazy Charles was able to feel Gambits death & Genosha from all the way in space. & Forge I like but there definitely rushing some stuff but I love how X-men jsut does soo many things 😂like even in the original show they did so much in one episode

Of course he's alive. The X-Men knew this, they simply didn't think the Professor was ever going to return to Earth. The show is written for people who have never seen the original and it’s very obvious. Disney would never green-light a show where it is required to watch 5 seasons of a show cancelled 30 years ago.

Episode 1 showed the X-Men thought Xavier was dead. But it took over 9 months before he was declared dead. I think they just assumed when they heard nothing so long after he left the planet with a fatal wound that he had succumbed. If so, they are in for a big surprise when he returns. If not, then that was some clever wording in episode 1. Scott was upset over the death certificate after all. I guess I’ll find out next episode.

This was a great character arc episode. It doesn't really drive the plot forward much but I like the parallel stories of personal growth. But even better is Xavier's monologue about co-existence. This whole series has so many great monologues about sharing the world and I put that one up there with Magneto's from episode 2.

Forge and Storm were basically together for months, i hear. At least, there were 6 months between Lifedeath parts 1 & 2 in the comics, so their feelings would have made a little more sense.

Storm definitely did lose her powers when the X-Cuituoner shot her but Forges machine fixed that issue but yes she also had to get over the mental block

Jadd J.A.D.D. Jadd I knew it. Charles, Superman and Jesus have 1 thing in common, is that they die, everyone's sad, oh no, but then they come back to life and everyone's happy again. It's an annoying cycle. I forgot how much of a player Professor X is. Strom's arc is awesome anfreakin's gorgeous like the goddess she is. and the opening credits hurt.

The Forge stuff was rushed cause it was in the comics and they wanted to tell a little of their story all I will say is it may not last and she may go to Wakanda soon. Unless they vary off of this storyline.

Gladiator was pretty cool with how fast he stepped in to protect Lilandra,and seeing Vulcan was awesome. But the Class in session moment with Xavier was pretty awesome. Im personally not a fan of Storms costume change. It shows far too much skin and looks kinda impractical in the field. That original All White Suit with the Mohawk is a better fit for a Goddess imo.

Storm has always shown alot of skin due to her confidence. In her first appearance she’s literally naked and worshiped as a god, she eventually has to get used to Americans being more conservative when it comes to clothing.

@@giosbizarreart9048 I'm just stating my preference. I don't have a problem with sexy uniforms or showing skin with Pyslocke being a great example. I just don't like this costume and prefer the all white suit.

@@dominiqueodom3099 You said it shows too much skin. Nudity is common in Africa and Storm can't get cold. The tiara is practical because she hides knives in it.
