The movies didnt break a billion so the xmen just got shelved. But thats how the Hollywood suits roll. They think they know better.

Which is usually in the comics and almost never in anything outside of them. This new show perfectly represented how versatile he is in combat and how good of a leader he is!

its one of the unfortunate things about adaptations often being by people who arent too engrossed in the comics. they just see surface level scott being an uptight boyscout and thinks thats all there is.

There are so many comics references in this show it's crazy. Truly a love letter to X-Men and the fans who have followed it. This show turned out better than I ever dared to hope it would.

Scott's optic beams aren't lasers. Fun fact: his eyes are portals to a dimension of pure kinetic energy. A punch-dimension if you will :P

That opening fight scene may be, hands down, the best he's ever been depicted outside of the comics in terms of just a straight fight. I love his characterization in evolution and he's got some great fights, but I don't think anything has ever done his martial arts this well before. Scott is supposed to be one of the best hand to hand combatants in the x-men and, like they show here, he mixes it with his optic blasts and that is a big part of what makes him so dangerous. People that don't know the character always think 'oh, he's just the optic blasts, if someone can get close it's over,' when it's actually almost the opposite (assuming he's not fighting thor or something of course, he's not an asgardian). At close range he's going to be using his blasts AND fighting hand to hand with you. He's INCREDIBLY dangerous at close range.

Glad to see a fellow Scott Summers fan. Comics often do him dirty. I find him so much more relatable, as he is basically a normal human with a laser gun. The writers often have Wolverine acts as foil to Cyclops. But they made Wolvie way too overpowered and able to do anything without consequence due to his regeneration. In one of the recent event he went to Hell, beat up the denizens there just to get himself a frickin katana sword.

Easter egg when Jubilee asks Robertos powers she mentions shooting gold balls from his body ironically there actually is a character that does it. Questionably one of the dumbest powers that eventually becomes important in the comics.

Just found your channel, love you energy! As a kid watching the OG series I was obsessed with Wolverine, so I hated Scott & Jean 😆 but I am loving the way they are giving Scott the respect he deserves in this series. Even not liking him, I still acknowledge he was a bada** in the OG series and it sucked the live action movies didn’t utilize his character properly. As an adult watching the movies, Magneto became my favorite. He always be looking smooth and I am here for the long hair as well. Big Daddy M is back, and looking fine!

The 90s X-men cartoon is still the best overall X-men property with superior versions of a number of characters even with all the time that has passed, including: Storm, Rogue, Cyclops, Gambit, Apocalypse, and a number of other characters.

i'm glad you enjoyed the romance on this show, cuz that for me was the one thing that just didn't do it for me. well rogue and gambit are the best couple on the show but its not one that particularly drives me. then again maybe i'll apprecriate this version of Scott and Jean in future episodes, even if it normally doesn't do it for me in most forms media.

Ages of the X-MEN: Jubilee = Mid 10s (Teenager) Rogue, Gambit = Mid 20s Cyclops, Storm, Phoenix = Early 30s Beast = Late 40s or Early 50s Professor-X = 60s Wolverine = 100+ (but looks gruff Late 30s)

Not sure if they are going by the Singer movies or Comics but in the Comics Beast should be the same age group as Cyclops, Storm, Phoenix but eldest so late 30s-40s because in the comics Iceman was 16, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel where around 17-18 and Beast was the Eldest bust still in there teen years like the rest.
