As Jets fans we don't know much about winning SB's, for sure it will be glorious when that day comes, but one thing we do know about is what it feels like to have a true Shutdown Corner who can man-up with the other teams #1 WR, week after week, no matter how great that WR is, and at least keep him in check, keep him from WRECKING THE GAME, if not outright shut him down. We saw what that looks like with Revis Island. Sauce lets us believe we'll be seeing it again. Welcome to the Jets, Sauce.

I love that the Jets will have another true shut down corner. We know how good it was for the Jets D to basically take out every teams #1 receiver every game so this combined with a beefed up pass rush will be exciting to see. More time for our Offense to play and less pressure on the offense as well!. I'm ready for this season to begin!

Ok ok I get the hype...but slow it way down. Revis is a top 3 corner of all time. Sauce has a ways to go. I'm a Jets fan with Revis being my favorite player while also wanting the Jets to draft Sauce. Sauce can potentially reach those levels but let's scale the hype back a little until we see him on the field.

@Dakota J. the original poster wasn't making the point that Sauce was the best player in the draft. He was making a point that Sauce is (or will be) better than Revis. Revis is one of the best players in Jets history. He is a top 3 corner of all time in my opinion. Making the point that Sauce is (or will be) better than Revis is highly premature considering that Sauce hasn't even played a snap in the NFL yet. I get the hype around him. I loved that the Jets grabbed Sauce. But recency bias is real in this generation and the hype surrounding newer players has a lot of fans making premature (and immature) predictions about players' potential greatness.

I been a Jet since 1969 and I have seen,heard and experience it all DREADFUL!!!!!! But the last two draft classes are organization changing..............ie Pittsburgh Steelers

For a team that hasn’t had much success in recent years, perhaps the Jets staff should be more mindful of how it speaks about its players. This might help to retain the kinds of players to needed to build a winning culture, as well as attract talent to the Jets, who wouldn’t otherwise consider playing for you. 2:00 - Not a mention of Ahmad Garner’s talent. In the words of Lawrence Taylor, while playing against the Jets, “Y’all got to do better than this.”

They drafted him at 4th overall for a reason, they thought he was pretty much the most talented player in this draft. They were hoping he would fall to them at 4. He was their guy at the very start.
