I'm ok with Cole being the new take at the chosen one. At this point I'm ok with Liu Kang dieing and getting his soul sucked by TSUNG makes since to do it! Give the Shaolin monks the double treatment! Let's explore see wtf we like that's different! With changes I think it will be safe they have BOON on the team this time for the sequel hopefully he won't let it get to outta hand! Honestly to do these movies they need a 3 hour run limit at the least!

Due to c19, I had to watch MK at home. I'm hoping to watch this on IMAX. I loved the first MK. My only gripe is the Cole Young addition, he was unessessary and would have served better as a Black Dragon or Red Dragon recruit. Tuck him in lore that isn't super developed yet. I'm hoping to see Shang Tsung in his MK2 game attire. I also hope they dive into the Dietes more. This movie has two jobs, semi reset what we saw in part one, world building and setting up an inevitable, epic outworld invasion story for Mortal Kombat 3. Dont rush it like Annihilation😂

Man, I remember seeing MK back in 2021 at an AMC IMAX theater near the mall and it was pretty good though, it felt odd without the tournament aspect and all. People in the theater was cheering when Scorpion appeared in the final battle. Cannot wait to see the 2nd movie, especially now that Shao Kahn is in it to! I do wish we can see Reptile and Goro including Kano again though.
