His main basis from the RWS was the LNER B12 98462 from "Edward's Day Out" but this is not canon. In the begining, he was a trial engine (Along with 87546/Crovan and Henry) for Sir Topham Hatt's railway. Henry was allowed to stay, and because Crovan and Alfred were complete pieces of Sh*t to Edward and the other engines, they were ultimately sent away in disgrace. Unfortunately, Alfred gained envy and ambition and wanted to sabotage the NWR by destroying the engines, only to be met by his own demise.
