Correction: usually if you have it you want to use his burst at the start of your rotation. Only use at the end if using shimenawa or c2

I'd like to suggest another correction. This one is about the gameplay tips. You mentioned that the dash passive spends KP to deal dmg and it shouldn't be worked into the rotation. It actually does not spend KP and makes a small increase in dps at C0 and a substantial increase at C1. More importantly, working this dash into your combos provides you with much needed aerial mobility. At the end of this reply, I'll link a master spreadsheet for optimal combos with dmg numbers that supports this. Overall, great analysis though. I've been hyperinvesting this twerp ever since his launch. I've seen some really polarizing takes from a lot of creators that just aren't backed up by good math, but this was great. I love how much you focused on vertical investment. It really is one of Wanderer's biggest pros, but also a con in and of itself. All of the team building info was great. I cry because I'm behind in archon quest and wanderer is at talents 6/6/6, but he still carries me in exploration I love him so much. I still breeze past floor 9 to 11 with Wanderer, faruzan, xingqiu, and layla! I wished for Xiao even after already having Wanderer and don't regret it! Hoping to get Zhongli in the future for the both of them 💖

I was on a break for the summery launch (for technical reasons) and immediately wished for him and later for alhaitam. I built the latter, loved him, put together hyperbloom with Kiki and nahida BUT I’ve triple crowned scada first. I just love him, his gameplay is fluid, easy, explosive.... it’s very rewarding with investment and I can’t wait to play him with faruzan c6 given I now have her c4. I wouldn’t pull him just for exploration but I have to say I really like “odd” gameplays and polarized ones such aa hypercarries: it’s a matter of tastes, I know, but he gives unite the satisfaction with all his fast attacks. I’ll build thoma and see how it’ll work lol In short I don’t regret pulling him, great character

As someone who has already decided im getting wanderer the teams guide was very useful. It was also nice that there were lots of options depending on what characters you have. Many guides ive seen have premium and f2p which goes from 4 5 stars to the character in quesrion plus three 4 stars they claim are easy to get, which isnt always just the free ones like kaeya lisa amber etc. For a new player fischl and sucrose aren't necessarily the 4 stars they will have yet because they haven't been on the most recent banners. It's a minor nitpick of these sites, but it still bugs me a bit as someone who started around 3.3 that most of the 4 stars they consider to be the one's everyone has, so mainly those who have been in the game from the start, were some of the last characters I got.

I like that for his hypercarry playstyle I can use supports that my other characters don't need as much. Like Faruzan as his buffer, even though he can use Bennett, you can also use Yunjin and focus more on his N/As since she can increase their damage, and also the fact that Thoma and Layla can have good shield synergies with him due to his different buffs based on the element he swirls making Zhongli still good but also meaning he can go elsewhere. When I want to use him in the abyss I can feel comfortable knowing that he will not be taking as many universal options for other teams which makes building the second team easier.

15:00 a very good advice I would say. Don't go and spend all of your primogems right before the new region, just to get C6 Faruzan. Wanderer's banner will come back sometime in the future, maybe even with the character you don't have (Like rn I don't have Kockomi and pulling for her), so getting more cons for Faruzan and getting a new 5 star wouldn't be so bad as just getting cons for Wanderer.

Wanderer is one of my strongest chars with 2pc Glad 2pc Venerer. Of course I could build him even better by investing a lot of time in his signature 4pc, but it's not necessary. I just got him to lvl 90 and 9-8-7 talents asap. Flying around blasting everything away with him and C6 Faruzan is super fun ^^

I felt than when you said „Hoyo hates Xiao mains“. Had to get C2 Wanderer so I could have C6 Faruzan for my C6 Xiao. Wanderer is definitely the 3rd strongest Character in my roster and his best team is made up of three 4-star characters. Have not grinded for his signature set yet, but 80/200 is my set goal for a hypercarry. Xiao took around 16K resin to complete, now hat guy needs some love to get off his Echoes set. Might pull for his C3 on the coming banner.

I have really high invested on-field DPSes like C1R1 Hu Tao, Childe as parthner to my C2 Kazuha in International, Ayaka in her best team and Alhaitham in Quickbloom. I have to put too much investments in Wanderer to be satisfied with his damage, but I still gonna pull him. Why? I wanna fly in overworld. I just will put him in double Hydro core with Zhongli and never play him in Abyss. But it's still enough to justify spending primos on him. Gl on his banner for everyone.

you're spot-on that as a hypercarry he is a bit investment-intensive (he loves C6 Faruzan, 4 good desert pavillion pieces, C2) but once the investment is done he forms strong teams. I take him into floor 12 regularly. With dendro, hypercarry teams went out of fashion, that's why he is a bit underrated. Wrt to team options, I would mention Jean as a very competent support

The Freeze team is probably my favorite niche team for him using XQ, Faruzan and either Layla or Diona. It feels super safe due to the presence of a shield (and damage resist) and it doesn't force me into playing Circle-Impact with Bennett. However, there is definitely a power gap in not running Bennett. Those Bennett + Faruzan + Xiangling/Yelan/Thoma/Layla teams ought to be what you shoot for later on if you really want to put out some nutso numbers on him. That c6 Faruzan is worth more to him than any of his constellations.

I'm really excited to pull for him! During the events, he was fun to play, and I like his character a lot. I started playing again (dabbled a tiny bit back in 2021 which is why the only limited 5 star I had on my account was Eula when I came back lol) during Ayaka's last rerun, so I've been waiting for Wanderer to come back. Even skipped Kazuha, who I'll definitely get when he eventually reruns again, to have enough wishes to guarantee. Hoping to get c6 Faruzan. I already have her built along with the rest of his team. Luckily, Kokomi's also on my wish list, so if I have to keep pulling while the banner is up to go for Faruzan constellations, I'm fine with that lol. I'll see how it goes. I haven't won a 50/50 since I started playing again. I'm also hoping I finally get better luck with his artifacts, mostly the sands. Been running his domain almost everyday for about a month now, and I still don't have an atk sands with crit. At least I managed to get more good goblets and artifacts for Kuki and Kaveh.

I started the game the patch before him, he was my first dps and I got blessed enough to get c6 Faruzan (still shocked I got no Gorou at al). No regret so far, Wanderer is such a beast when you invest properly into him, I already got great results and I'm from from done with his build.

as i like him, i will definetely pull for him. meta or not. besides he is the best for exploration (90% of the game), his passive with 4 unique buffs and being anemo gave great potential to pair with different team. not to mention he is the only character that can literally fly and you can change his name :) I've seen so many f2p ar 57 above with meta 5 characters still can't 12 floor abyss. while i finished the 12th floor in AR 55 in the 3.7 abyss only with only 2 5 stars(the only ones i have) and non meta 4 star (barbara) with bad crit artifact and low talents about the abyss, I believe any chatacter can 36 floor abyss. even the 4 stars only. meta or not, you will still farm for their artifacts, talents etc so the same time, energy are required for investment. the thing is, always pull character you want. the 4 stars you have is good enough to support the 5 star u have if you build them properly with the right team (as you will also have to do when build meta chatacter). I like your channel btw. it's the most realistic and f2p friendly

It is very nice having a character that can deal with annoying enemies like Wolflord, Thundering Manifestation, Aeon Drake, or other super mobile enemies that do not sit still. If you do not have a character that can deal with all of those then he is a very good pull. He also works well against multiwave or spread apart enemies that spawn on the opposite side of the chamber. I have a video on my channel of killing the Crackling Thunder Manifestation on nearly max score just to show how super effective he is. I would say he is like a better Yoimiya because he also has some AoE while being more mobile with better tracking and range.

no lol. There is actually a c6 character ranking. Yelan, Nahida and Yae are the top 3. My Naihida does six 75k better-than-aoe every 15 seconds on top of tri-karma....My Yae does 100k from totem damage ( E ) with support.

@@Polypoly06 yeah, I’ve compared those units sixth constellations as well myself. But the reason that the wanderers C6 is 2nd to Yelan is that he is more reliable than Nahida. Nahida has IcD on her C6. You have to also use electro. Both Yelan and Wanderer are just every so slightly more reliable than C6 Nahida and Yae

Through my own experience I have found Yelan as the best C6, Wanderer as the 2nd best C6. And Nahida and Yae tied for the third best C6. Also Itto, Eula, and Xiao are right underneath those top 3

Great guide. I'd like to get him because I like his character and playstyle. I don't really need him and I won't invest much into him (I have Xiao, much stronger teams already built and with Fontaine around the corner, probably won't bother farming his set) but I'd still like to have him just for fun and overworld. I'm basically pityless since I got Eula and my Faruzan is C1 so I think it's worth building pity on him. If I get him early, cool, if I don't or I lose, I at least get some Faruzan cons and a guarantee for Furina and will get Wanderer when he returns.

My overworld Wanderer team is Layla, Albedo, ??, and Wanderer. As Wanderer flies around inside of Albedo,s aoe he continually pickups up shields which keeps him from being interrupted. The ?? Characters I typically pair are one of these: Faruzan, Fischl, Xingqiu, Bennett, or anyone else I feel like having fun with that day. As an example, I played Mika recently to obtain attack speed and physical damage. I have found obtaining attack speed and avoiding interruption are very beneficial when playing Wanderer.

Also working on building a Thoma and Faruzan. For the combo, I would recommend N2C or NA spam (depending on weapon, Atk speed, supports,...) over CA spam in most cases. The only case where CA spam is potentially worth using is in AoE if enemies aren't close enough for NAs to damage all of them and, most importantly, enemies are immune to stagger (like Ruin machines, triple Kenki). Using 2 CAs in a row can easily ungroup enemies if they can be staggered.

Charge attack is also better for breaking shields since he swirls on every charge attack. Something that came in handy when I was clearing the triple Herald floor last Abyss cycle. He can do over 12 swirls with his charge attacks in a rotation. After the hydro herald was down I just landed and finished the frost Heralds off with c6 Bennett + c6 Thoma.

Not having c6 faru running an xq benny and leila for a freeze team js really good. Since everything is frozen you don't get staggered and you can easily hit 25-30k on charged and 15ish k on normals.

ive most charas in game (besides eula, xiao, yoimiya) but i still pulled wanderer day 1. tbh he is worth the pull solely for his QoL exploration. i never run out of stamina in a team with wanderer/kazuha/yelan/flex, i completed he new 3.8 event exploration in like 5 hours because of his flying ability. plus he's anemo so he can give anemo res with kazuha. agreed with all the stuff for combat/versatility as well, i recommend pulling for new players and anyone looking for exploration QoL 10/10

If there's a vertical unit to invest to, Wanderer is one of them. Hat guy is really fun to play. I usually don't play him that much because I don't a Faruzan(I missed the event) Even so, She wants to be C6 as well to maximize that brat power. My favorite team is with Layla + Double Pyro.

I got Scara when he came out .. i triple crown 👑 him and got him lost prayer and good set and he hit now like a truck , 60k per charge attack .. without c6 Faruzan .. and he is always there for the abyss or the overworld ..

This video's footage is a bit cropped; I'm one of the few Xiao mains that also want Wanderer, but I can understand that their intended play-styles are very similar and that might make Xiao mains who would have otherwise wanted to play both hesitant. I don't believe Wanderer is underrated, I think for the most part people have a good understanding of his pull value/strength compared to other units. His position as a hypercarry makes him a unit that most people would only pull for if they like, excluding his strong overworld capability. Wanderer is a strong character, but not one that I could recommend to most people.

he is probably the best of the hypercarries if we exclude ayaka and hu tao from the conversation i just feel like all the other hypercarries since inazuma, he demands such a insane amount of investment to reach his full potential that it get annoying unless youre a die hard fan of his i tested him out on a friends account, he has everything, c6 faru c2 wanderer a good artifact set, c6 yj if needed, zhong and a crowned c6 benny with aquilla but even in those conditions i got better st results with his hb team than with his hyperinvested wanderer, feel like in today´s genshin landscape hyper carries are a huge trap unless you want to go super deep into them and even like this, a team with 2 sub dps and a enabler can confortably outpace them at similar investment levels alth i will adimit he has c2 nahida and c2 yelan so the investment levels between the 2 teams are pretty similar

Any Wanderer mains here? I would love to know which of these teams outputs more single target damage for him. Wanderer, c6 Xingqui, Yelan, c0 Layla vs Wanderer, c6 Faruzan, c2 Bennett, Zhongli Just wanna know if investing into his hypercarry team is more worth it over investing into more flexible units like Yelan/Xingqui

I asked the same a week ago from several Wanderer mains as I'm also going for him and everyone said hypercarry is better than anything else BUT if you want to mix it up those other kind of teams can be a fun change of pace.

Depends on gear but with high end gear then Wanderer will do more dps. As a hypercarry he benefits a lot from good gear more than most other characters so even a single extra crit damage roll can be felt when the entire team is enhancing him. Having an extra crit roll on Yelan or not barely matters.

I’ve been farming his artefact domain near a year now and it has been the absolute worst. It’s ridiculous how many flat stat Def pieces it has given. Yeah, you get them in all domains but this one (at least for me) has been on negative luck. So so much resin for one single usable feather and flower 💀

My 2 issues with him: 1. He can't hit enemies that are on sloped ground; 2. If he's hit mid-flight w/o a shield, it's time consuming just to stand back up.

you spend 90% of the time in overworld :) he makes that you dont run of stamina. However truth to be told you probably save 20 sec per day at most cos you mostly teleport around and use spider moves. also I dont believe he will fly underwater XDD

Imo, he is kinda easier to play than Xiao, better at dealing flying/fast bosses and scale better with C but not as strong as him at low C. While Wanderer looks better in single enemy scenario, Xiao can utilize plunging attack damage along with high plunge attack by attacking very close that Xiao might be also be stronger in that situation. As a Anemo driver, I think using Sucrose or Heizou would be a lot better. For Overworld, he is the best. Personally, I don't have him and don't plan pull him bc I don't like him and while he is the best at overworld, there's no place that you absolutely need him(Unless you want to some fun glitch that he might be able to do). For me, Kazuha, Venti, Zhongli, Yelan, Sayu, Kirara or Geo MC are enough to explore.

What i do not like about wanderer is he feels stripped without his c6 and feels like an entirely different unit. C6 increases his energy recharge, removed dash limit, no longer needs a shielder, can remove shields faster, more stagger, no longer needs faruzan.

He's okay. You can buff him significantly with Bennett, Faruzan, and Yun Jin. However, he really does need a shield with how fragile he is. He's more worth it for Whales than he is for f2p, though.

Also depends on account! C0 does reduce her energy needs but she’s so good with fav bow already . Unironically c1 best use is an overworld constalation haha Zhongli is quite useful for certain teams so if you’re building one of those then I’d recommend zhongli If you want overworld comfort get c1 Yelan Also consider saving for hydro archon and other Fontaine characters if you don’t need those

I would say only Faruzan needs to be cracked (and by this I am referring to her C6) though I use Faruzan without her c6 and do fine clearing the abyss and her build is a basic support build, Bennett is nice but you can manage with a Yunjin and he can use Layla or Thoma for shield they just need HP and ER (or Zhongli or Diona) they don't need cracked builds either. And you can make the argument that every hypercarry needs cracked builds/supports try using Hutao without Xingqiu or Yelan, or Ayaka without freeze teams, their damage potential lowers a lot. He can make use of supports that other characters don't need as much like Faruzan, Layla, Thoma and Yunjin (unless you use Xiao, Ayato or Yoimiya a lot).

@@ryzhik9608 how is kokomi not that good? she has the element (hydro best in game), ToM 100% uptime, tales holder/sac frags for nilou bloom, non standard ICD, on demand healing and even onfield driver as a hydro catalyst. you can literally leave her at lv 1 with lv 1 artifacts and she would still provide a ton of value to the team.
