As an older “wiser” viewer, you should view it as an honor to be invited, you were an integral part of his life and therefore, you’re still important to him to be invited. You wouldn’t have been had you not. Having been married myself, a lot of people don’t make the cut when planning a wedding, because imply those most important to you get sent an invitation. You may end up regretting not going also, and would it hurt his feelings if you don’t go? Still being friends with all of my exes , I have deep affection for them all and consider them lifelong friends I will cherish always. So GO, bring a date and have a wonderful time!

As someone who has gone to an exes wedding, it was something I actually spoke to both together about whether my going could take away some of their magic. They said no and that they had already discussed it before inviting me. I had a great time, and I am so happy I went to support their love.

I went to my ex’s as well, however didn’t know her (hadn’t met her, lol). At times I felt like the attention was on me… not in a bad way (towards me) but I weirdly got a lot of attention from both sides of his (separated) parents (and their partners) and when we played a dinner game his friends were actually relying on me for most the answers and not in a subtle way, lol. As far as I knew she didn’t mind or notice. I think it just depends how close you stayed connected etc. Unfortunately they are divorced now but I’m not surprised, lol.

It takes maturity to remain friends with an ex after it’s all said and done. You should definitely go to his wedding as long as the fiancé is okay with it and you’re going for the right reasons. Were you invited by the ex because he genuinely likes you or does he have motives? Take a plus one if you are feeling nervous about the upcoming nuptials. My best friend of 30 years has been married and divorced, but our relationship has remained strong. His influence on me is undeniable. After years of growing together and taking joy in his joy , makes it impossible to let our friendship go. We have just always worked better as friends. We did not like each other for some odd reason while we were together. As friends, he knows that I’ve nurtured his heart and he depends on that since he doesn’t trust that with just anybody. He didn’t seem to remember that while we were together and it caused problems. I hope he finds that true love, that’ll take care of him more than I do and he can trust them. Until then, I’m going to be here because it’s what he deserves. We just could never make it work romantically, but I’m so glad he’s still in my life. This world is a better place with him in it. And for those reasons, I’d be there for any milestone he has.

good way to also use that spinach. Toast up a slice or two of that bread top it with some of your hummus and some sauteed spinach with some minced garlic, blk pepper and sea salt, then over top of that add a little bit of scrambled egg whites or a fried egg and a little bit of sriracha sauce if you like some heat, if not, just a little bit of black pepper . Soooo good. also good with a little sauteed mushrooms with the spinach. Changes up the avocado toast into a mediterranean hummus toast. You can also add a little feta if you want but hold back on the sea salt, if you do!

You should freeze your spinach if you're using it in just smoothies that way they're not rotting in the back of your fridge. This is what I do because I was having my spinach rot in my fridge so now I just freeze some in sandwich ziplock bags and I'll take one out to throw in my smoothie no more wasting spinach!!

A couple of things… your house looks gorgeous and you have impeccable taste. Who you invite to a wedding is a well thought out decision, which makes me think you are really wanted there. Also I’m sure at least a few of his loved ones would know you’re invited. It might be good to talk with them about your feelings? Or talk with them about attending just the ceremony, or just sending a gift. Do what you’re comfortable with ❤️, just let them know you care and that the friendship is important to you. I think it sounds like a lovely story with your ex and his fiancé. It was interesting to see some of the brands of groceries are the same as in Australia, and that you had chickpea pasta but canned garbanzo beans - they’re all called chick peas here but may sometimes be called chickpeas on one side of a can and garbanzo on the other for imported goods. I love love that you air dry clothes, I didn’t think Americans did that, but it’s more eco and when dried outside smell gorgeous. Your wardrobe clean out is impressive! As a social worker I think it’d be great if you donated directly to an agency where they will be free for vulnerable people, although I understand that requires more organising that dropping off at an op shop (thrift stores I think you call them).

Just think going to this wedding you are celebrating his and his partner future life together. I think they both would be dissappointed if you don't go. So something about plants from big box stores like Lowe’s or Home Depot, they tend to be root bound (roots all grown into each other inside the pot and basically choking each other of nutrients) or overwatered and have root rot. Both issues are reversible with time and patience. There’s a woman on here named Krystal who does loads of videos on how to rescue the box store plant babies.

You MUST turn your beautiful arch into a magic garden doorway! Idk how well you are with woodworking, but you should get into it and learn to create and attach a door shaped like the entirety of the arch with vines growing on it- and the door either made out of like bundled thin sticks along a thin wooden base or made in a way where the vines can easily grow. Ugh I can picture ideas so well but I stink at describing them! (or if not wood. Make it our of some other natural material like bamboo or something that just looks magical! Like iron or something..but that might be too heavy..who knows..just spouting ideas!!)

We do grandkids birthdays and our adult children's birthdays, but we don't hang out with each other and I am like you, it's their special day and you want to respect that, I really admire you for that. She was relieved when she called me and asked me to reconsider and I told her I was thinkingg the same thing. I didn't go and send them a TK note with my best wishes. I gave one of my online friends a box of my clothes I picked out just for her and she loved it so much! Sharing is such a beautiful thing to do with the people in our lives or strangers via donation. I will say that the SO & I raced to the donation store the other day because they accidentally donated my boots that still had my medical braces in them!😅 Luckily the store helped us find them and so I've been finding different items to donate to them to make up for taking them back.😂 Thank you for your vlogs, Daniel.❤

Re: going to your ex's wedding.... If you haven't seen each other in a year, or spoken in the last 6 months (him calling you) you're a seat filler or they're just being polite. I give a year on seeing each other because of the distances that can exist geographically. However, the rule is different if someone is closer (same state/town), then I'd expect to see them at least every 3 months of our friendship matters to the point of it being wedding invitation worthy. Weddings are so personal that they should only be filled by those you would consider close. I'm sure you know this deep down though, and from what you said, you're not at all close.

Daniel! If you want to upgrade your morning oatly yogurt with berries. I love to premade chia seed pudding. 1 cup of milk. Vanilla extract. 1/4 cup of chia seed. Add sweetner of choice to taste. I like stevia and low calorie maple syrup. Add that with the yogurt and berries add some bananas and yogurt and such a filling a complete meal with omega 3s which are great for 🧠 health.

Have you talked to your ex and his man about your reservations of not attending? I understand your dilemma for sure. But I’d say bring it up to them and talk it out and that right there should give you, your answer. They obviously invited you but maybe the did it out of kindness or maybe they reallllllly do want you there. If you choose not to talk to them about the reservations you have, just go with your gut. Toss a coin, in the air you’ll know which one you want it to be. That’s my advice. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyways loving all the content you been putting out and loving the house stuff. Try frozen spinach - that way you can store it longer and also it's still great in smoothies. I like to keep my kale frozen in tupperware and sometimes I add frozen cilantro from a tupperware.

In terms of the wedding, I mean it sounds like you have a great friendship with them both or else you wouldn't have been invited. I think there are ways for you to be there without the attention being drawn to you. I know for my wedding, the reception meant soo much to me because I got to talk to people who meant so much to me and to witness their love and support for me and my husband in an intimate way, even if it was brief really made the day all the more special. Unless you feel like there are unresolved feelings on either end, then I don't think you need to worry that you will be taking away from their moment. If anything, you'll be adding to it. I will say...take my advice with a grain of salt. My husband's best man's girlfriend was in a relationship with my husband for 4 years and we've hung out with them several times over the years and she attended the wedding with no issue whatsoever. Maybe a little unorthodox, but who cares? 😂

27:11 I think it would be inappropriate. I didn't go to my ex's wedding and vice versa. I think it would distract from their special day. I think sending a gift would be more appropriate. I only sent an announcement to mine. I didn't send an invite.

I like the idea of you going to the ceremony and not the reception if you want to go to the wedding to celebrate both of them but not take attention away from them. But also, if you want to send them a really nice gift like the couple massages or something adjacent that is also a good idea, so ultimately it is up to you if you want to go to the wedding or not ❤️

I completely understand where you're coming from. If it where me I wouldn't go for the reasons you said. Plus , its sweet he wants me there but at that time you can be happy for them from afar. You had and you will.always have those memories with him . I would however let him know why you are not going . It will keep your relationship honest and that is hard to keep 😊 hope this helps
