The more I watch the more I get hooked. As an artists I enjoy your encouragement of Rachel and your look out for supplies. They are expensive. I rather clinched when you threw aside the set of small tubes of acrylic paints though. Most artists prefer these for many reasons. Number one, only a small dab of paint is used at a time so tubes don’t get dried out as quickly nor too big a “glob” spit out. Also they are transportable which is good for class, plein Air painting or demonstrating. Maybe you are going to paint with a friend or travel and don’t want to miss a chance to capture a special landscape. It’s better than a camera. So my suggestion is pick up all tubes, acrylic, oil or watercolor.

My dad had huge salt water fish tanks. We had weird sea creatures because of Dad being a trawler-man. We had sharks, pilot fish (creepy,) sea horses, blue ringed octopus, surgeons, stone fish, angler fish, anemone and clown fish, Chelmon, Wrasse, Butterfly fish, Goby, Tang, Boxfish and all sorts of others. My dad spent so much time fighting tank diseases. I found it very depressing.

The winter scene was a Giclee print of Monet called Magpie.....I saw it listed for $60 online. Giclee prints are good things.

They are more desired because it’s a much more expensive way to print. It’s almost the next best thing to an original from what I’ve been told.

Giclee prints are a high quality print....usually printed on Canvas. This is a way for artists to duplicate a particular painting so they can sell more copies. I have had some of my work done in Giclee....it enables me to offer more copies of a particular painting at a more consumer friendly price. ie, an original painting might go for a few thousand dollars, but a giclee print will sell in the mid hundreds or less.

Thanks for the update Dani! Here are the names I thought of for the turtle: Destiny - I'd thought it funny you didn't have a turtle a few days before your video introduction of the new addition - tortoises, but no turtle. So it was Destiny, meant to be - you love turtles too much to not have one. Mabel - derived from the French "ma belle", meaning my beautiful. Think the Beatles song "Michelle, ma belle" for pronunciation, you could even just spell it Mabelle... In Quebec (not sure of other French cultures), it's very common for people to use this term of endearment liberally - towards family, friends, customers, even strangers in conversation. I think it brings instant warmth, closeness, and is better translated to mean "my friend". Grace - a few suggested this name. I thought it cute, but the turtle was proving to be very ungraceful....😅 But, it could still be an ironic name, or at least something to strive for... OK, there you go, since you're still searching for the perfect name... Hope this helps! 🙂🌷
