The words of the world isn't great sage. They're completely different. The words of the world can be heard by everyone, but great sage (now Raphael) can only be heard by Rimuru, unless she takes control of Rimuru's body, like she did while resurrecting in this episode

Yeah they sound the same cus Raphael/g.sage uses the words of the world "voice" to speak to rimuru. I'm pretty sure a lot of parts during the evolution level up stuff were great sage and words talking to each other

im anime only so im probably completly wrong my theory is that words of the world is still raphael. its just the name people came up with when hearing the voice in the recap episode we saw that veldora knew raphael before rimuru and there was also the one instance where "words of world" talked to the other reincarnation to get the survival skill (while raphael obviously knows allot about these things). so you could be right and its 2 diffrent things, but im still thinking raphael is shady af

@@LedragLP they explained this stuff better in the light novel. Though, the words of the world is called the world language in it. This was explained in one of the very first chapters, right after the introduction of the Great Sage. Here is the part. "According to this Sage, it took ninety days for the skill to fully fuse itself with my soul. Normally, it would be unable to provide responses in the form of conversation, but in order to answer my questions, it apparently revamped itself, diverting part of its “World Language” powers to assist me. That’s how it was explained to me, at least. This useful ability-relaying words into my mind-isn’t normally possible. As it explained to me, this “World Language” was heard only when there were great changes to the world or when you either earned or upgraded a skill-something that normally didn’t happen all that often. These skills were obtained only rarely, when the world recognized that you had grown in one way or another."

@@LedragLP So basically, if you imagine the world to be a Pokemon game, the Words of the World would be like system messages/notifications, notifying you when you get a skill, resistance or evolve, and the Great Sage (now Raphael) would be kinda like your pokedex, and the abilities under the skill Great Sage are- Hasten Thought: Boosts perception speed by a thousand times. Analyze and Assess: Analyzes and assesses the target. Parallel Operation: Operates on any matter you wish to analyze, separating it from the regular thought process. Cast Cancel: Annuls the casting period required when using magic, et cetera. All of Creation: Provides full coverage of all unsuppressed matter and phenomena in this world.

Demons and Demon Lords are not the same. Demons are a race, like Dragons, Lizardmen, Human, Slime, etc. whereas Demon Lord is a title, given to individuals of any race. So you can have a Demon Dragon, Demon Slime and yes, Demon Demon (Which would just be called Demon). FYI Diablo had a different name (nickname to be accurate) in the OVA if you watched it.

Rimuru's evolution is simply one of my favorite evolution sequences, and is really funny that is literally only text on screen telling us what is going on, but man, I always loved the art from the first episodes when Rimuru was learning all the skills and Great Sage would tell Rimuru and us the names and their effects. I loved to see that again, and with such an epic song in the background.

It wasn't until Rimiru saw Shion's broken body that he finally lost himself. It was Shion's body that Raphael walked to, when beginning the ritual to revive them all...knowing how much she meant to Rimiru. Raphael knew she meant so much to him, that he would be ok with giving his own life if necessary, even if it brought only her back. Shion is like a daughter to him. Most of them are like his children, really. He named them. He's raised them up. he But Shion is the big, goofy, lovable klutz that devotes herself entirely to the people she loves. He may or may not love her most of all, but losing her certainly hurt more than any other. The only other possibility might've been Shuna. That too probably would've devastated him. Losing both of them might well have seen Rimiru obliterating the world. And, to be honest, I think that might've been an outcome that would've brought Gobta into full realization of what he can actually do...by making him unable to care about anything else anymore. Because, make no mistake, while he's far from the most powerful...the types of skills he has, and his unconventional use of them, makes him actually one of the most dangerous people in that nation. He is, to-date, the only one who can jump through OTHER peoples' shadows...not merely his own and his wolf's. Even Suei can't do that. And while he's not a master by any stretch, his power and his skills in combat are nothing to be trifled with. He could, if he wanted to, quite readily assassinate almost anyone, anywhere. But, that's just not who he is. But if both Shion AND Shuna had perished and couldn't be revived? All bets are off, and Gobta would become a true monster.

Rimuru essentially made the three demons a physical body when he summoned them. Otherwise, spiritual beings can't exist for long in the physical realm, as in the case of Diablo's summoning shown in season 1 episode 24. The reason why Razen was so terrified was because Rimuru gave the black primordial demon (soon to be named Diablo), one of the strongest demons in existence, a physical body, which means that Diablo can now stay in the physical realm for as long as he wishes to.

So looking at the wiki, demons are a type of spirit and so are dragons actually. The demon lord thing seems a little confusing though. It seems like it is both a rank and a title. The only way to reach the rank of demon lord is to do what Rimuru did basically, but the title demon lord can be given to powerful beings who, I’m assuming, have the capacity to become demon lords. The only true demon lords we have met so far are Milim and Leon Ravencraft, the blond guy who summoned Shizu at the start of the series and the others, Carrion, Frey, Clayman, and Ramiris are in title only.

He's actually been waiting for someone as powerful as him to appear and use a summoning to basically put himself there. He's such a legendary character too!!

I’ve seen a lot of ppl getting this confused……..Great Sage/Raphael is different from Words of The World…………WoTW is literally the voice of the world itself..when certain conditions are met and the world itself recognizes those conditions as being met it literally makes a WORLD announcement…………GS/Raphael is Rimuru’s skill it just so happens to have used the voice of the world……it’s explained much more clearly in the light novel.
