Hey Chet, you could install a 12 or 24v DC hydraulic power pack inside the trailer frame with it's own batteries and when you plug it into the truck, they can charge up. You can buy them from Surplus Center.

When I had to go to the cancer center for Iron Infusions due to severe anemia, I looked around the room and felt overwhelmed of how lucky I was. 1 day an elderly lady was getting her chemo, her daughter, 50's, was with her. I tapped the lady on the knee and she raised her head slowly. She looked very tired but I smiled and asked, You come here often? Floor show any good? She just stared at me blankly, then broke into a smile. She asked, WHAT DID YOU SAY? I asked if you come here often? She nearly busted a gut laughing. Her daughter started laughing. The elderly woman asked if I came often and I said I would be. We ended up meeting everytime I went for my infusion and we sat by each other. She was sad when Doc said my tank was full and time to leave the pits. If only for a while to help someone smile and forget their pain. A lot of people have the Larson Family, especially Nicki in their thoughts and prayers.

Chet, Nicole, and of course all the rest of the family, you are amazing! I don't like to, but I remember the waiting game during all the testing, I remember asking one of the doctors, "do you really care about this, or are you just stringing things along?" He of course had way more knowledge than I had, so he just smiled and walked away. Then he came back and explained to me why it takes so much time. I'm sure you have probably heard this, but here goes. I don't remember his exact words, but they were something like this, "without all the tests we do, we cannot be 100% sure what we are dealing with. Without being sure, we cannot treat or diagnose what the issue is, and the tests, take time". Hang in there all and keep the updates coming when you can.

It’s called a scissor neck low bed. You usually use a winch tractor or truck mounted winch to lift the neck back up once it’s loaded.

Semis use a "wet kit" it's its own hydraulic system for lowboys, and other types of hydraulic trailers. It's a mechanical pump that runs off the transmission, it's own pto basically.

Chet, an old timer told me long ago when I was learning to run a motor grader, “son, there’s lever A and leaver B, you need to leave her be. I’d take a shot at Duggo’s excavator ditch cleaning title 😎 those old neck down trailers used to work with a winch on the truck hooked to the front of the trailer. You dropped the trailer with the wench hold up on it with a little pressure with cable while on the ground,, pulled pins and lay it down.
