The reason why tree have so much power, is pretty cool. To transfer the water all the way up the tree, the tree have massive negativ pressure. Negativ pressure is normally impossible due to how liquids evaporate in low pressure environments. But because they way trees grow they can prevent that from happening, and there for achieve negativ pressure. Pretty cool if you ask me.
