Hey Mr Kahn, We don't have a "teacher shortage" or a "burnout issue". We are not paying teachers enough for the levels of... 1) things they are expected to teach themselves 2) supplied they are expected to buy themselves 3) blame they are expected to take for Student mis/behavior.

Personalize learning might be lead to providence; but I believe John Duey said that partly we have schools to socialize education. Plato said you don’t want to fragmented individuals who could communicate only to their narrow community.

My concern regarding the education system and what our children are learning in school. It is disheartening to see that many students lack knowledge of our country's history, and it is important that the books used in schools accurately portray historical events without any bias. It is also crucial that students understand the Constitution and the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of various nations and social groups.

We should have had a K-12 National Recommended Reading List decades ago. The majority of books are mediocre to crap. The silly nuns at the grade school my mother sent me to NEVER taught science. I don't know how I would have survived if I had not discovered science fiction. Try: *A Fall of Moondust* by Arthur C Clarke to see what Real Science Fiction is which Star Wars is not. There is lots of old sci-fi free on the Internet now: Little Fuzzy by H. Beam Piper The Servant Problem by Robert F. Young Black Man's Burden & Border, Breed nor Birth by Mack Reynolds Omnilingual by H Beam Piper Deathworld by Harry Harrison The Status Civilization by Robert Sheckley
