I don’t know if you’ve ever seen, but there was a planned gimmick toy before worlds of wonder went bankrupt. If you look up ‘Newton gimmick’ it’ll come up! It was soooo cute too and looked just like him!

Thank you so much for letting me know, though. :) Yeah, apparently the only known image is from some home movie footage (or a documentary) filmed at WoW: and fans spotted the Gimmick prototype in the background, sitting on a shelf. I agree: it would've been amazing to get him.

Have you ever watched the cancelled Teddy Ruxpin show trailer for 2017 Teddy?

When I was really little,.. My parents took me to FAO Schwarz toy store in NYC, and I saw the other peripheral, prototype characters connected up to Teddy, besides Grubby, including but not limited to Newton Gimmick, and Wooly Whatsit. I was only about two or three years old at the time, and it's a faint memory, but apparently there was an intent to link additional characters to Teddy.

I think that you’re thinking of the fobs, Tweeg, lb and anything toys/puppets. Only Newton gimmick was set to be an animatronic toy, but I don’t think he actually never got out of the workshop. You can still see video footage of him sitting on a shelf next to teddy :)

@@oliviartsss That Gimmick puppet is dope, af, by the way. However, it looks nothing of the sort that I remember. The Newton Gimmick recollect, had a slotted jaw style mouth, sort of like the Nutcracker, from the Nutcracker Suite opera, or like any such classic Christmas nutcracker toy of the sort. It articulated similarly, like partially rotating as it opened and closed.

Hey, I’m Writing a Teddy Ruxpin movie. I’m remaking the story by adding some replaceable stuff. I got a bunch of them, & here they are. #1: what if they actually found gimmick picking up wood, & asked them if he needed help. Maybe that wouldn’t fit in, but still. #2: When crashed to a tree, what if teddy discovered another Illiop so that he needs a gang. Maybe it could go in the sequel, & not this. IDK. #3: what if grubby became Jealous of prince arin because of teddy hanging out with him & gimmick. Then Teddy admitted he hates root stew. #4: what if they met Prince Arin in the middle of the great desert when Tweeg payed him to kill teddy & gimmick when he thought they’re Enemies that kidnapped Princess Aruzia.
