He’s not missing, he’s here.

The campsite that we found was less than a 15 minute walk in to the city of Ypres.
We have a bite to eat before having a walk around the city. Then we went to the Menin Gate to place poppy crosses to two of Karen’s relatives that are named on the memorial to the missing on the Menin Gate.
After that, the last Post ceremony was due to take place and James was asked if he would like
read the citation- he accepted.
We were also very humbled to lay our wreaths during the ceremony.
It is now the end of this epic journey. Some of it has been very personal, a lot of it has been very educational.

@@shelaghbooth332 Three weeks we were there and it was a journey indeed; a very personal one many times. It’s been a pleasure sharing. However, we have discovered some lost footage that we are currently working on. So the final one hopefully should be ready for next weekend.

Very emotional episode next week. None of our relatives, but John McRae as well as a 15 year old and a 14 year old who made the ultimate sacrifice. X

Hahaha I told him , all I was bothered about was the microphone 😂 He wanted to do that reading really, he loves that sort of thing. It was me that was nervous for him, but yes one heck of a memorable moment. Thanks for your support guys, always appreciated Karen and James 🥰❤️💙

@JustForTheWeekendvanlife we've just invested in the new DJI mini mics they look really good and over half the size of the older model.. can't wait to be trying them out. So we've now all the gear and still no idea 😂😂 ho well it keeps us busy whilst away...
