@@watching99134 James Wilstrop has started coaching him at Pontefract. My sense is that one of the most 'gentlemanly' players has been instrumental in stripping Asal of his douchebag traits. Long may it continue.

Played a great semi v Gawad as well - 5 tough games. So following this up with a win over Farag is all the more impressive. And he has clearly worked on his behaviour. So credit to him.

He is growing up ... amazing ralleys with Farag and Gawad and not his usual antics ... a pleasure to not wince when i watch Asal!

In this tournament Asal clearly turned it up a notch. The other top-ranked players will have to do the same now.

Have been a big critic of Asal, but this was a very mature, composed performance. Really a great game to watch

I am in the same camp. Half way through this match I was thinking that this shows he can totally beat the top players in the world with clean squash. He has power, finesse, incredible defense... He is the total package. It would be great to see him stay clean. In vital moments in majors... we shall see...

I want to add comments similar to the others . A lot of respect for Asal for cleaning up his movement and playing well . Well done young man . Credit where credit is due

Deserves that - he’s been a class act since he came back from his ban. Proved he can win fair. Sky’s the limit now 👏👏

Since he's been coached by wilstrop* he was still doing naughties straight after his ban, wilstrop and really cleaned him up!

Wow not often you see Farag getting played like this. Can see it in his frustration. Well played Asal!

What a redemption arc this has turned out to be... Found myself rooting for any opponent of his previously, but for this match and the others this tournament, cheering every point he earnt. Deserves the confirmation that a good attitude with fair play can win against the best.

Surely you can fit a few more photographers back there behind the front wall? I see some space if they get a bit tighter.

Asal has matured into a fantastic squash player. I never thought I'd say it but he is now one of my favorite players to watch. His retrieving is fenomenal and the way he owned the second game shows that he is soon number one. My guess is that he is going to be the first Olympic squash champion. Well done Mustafa!

You sure can see the Willstop influence in the Asal game, and glad to see it. Willstrop the marksman was one of the most thrilling to watch

Really happy for Asal to win in such a peaceful way. Demons seem gone, still to confirm but that seems to be organic change. Really nice to see.

Ok he won, no cheating visible in this summary. But I do not like brute force and arrogance beating elegance, technique, style, intelligence and humility to the game and the opponent.
