Great interview. Lando has matured so much the last few years and has consistently been the best driver outside the top 3 teams. He seems ready to be the leader in mclaren next season. I hope at some point they can give him a car worthy of challenging for wins. Also credit to Naomi, she got a lot of unwarranted hate at the start of the season but as the years gone on she’s proven a great addition to the already great sky f1 team

Mclaren haven’t been properly competitive since Hamilton was there, at least give him a chance until/if we see him in a competitive car. He’s the best of the rest this season and last season so if, like Russell, we see him in a strong car he could deliver in a similar fashion

@@justinwalpole8956 Yes the Sainz who beat Charles last year in the same car. After Landos first 76 GP he had scored 406 points. Carlos after his first 76 GP had scored 156 points. In the 2020 season up until Round 13 out of 17 Lando was clearly ahead of Carlos. He lost out by just 8 points at the end due to one race Sakhir when he had to start at the back of the grid for an engine change and came 10th to Carlos 4th.

One of the qualities I always appreciate in Lando's commentary on his own drive, is he never lies about it. He's very honest---we did this, didn't work, next race, or the best we can hope for is probably P6, because Merc, RB, and Ferrari have the better cars so no sense in saying it will be P2 unless something dramatic happens. I'm always rooting for him, and I hope next year with Piastri and hopefully a much better car, they can trot up the ranks. I know he's really wanting that top step on the podium in a first win, but sometimes it really is the grind on the way there that makes it all that much sweeter when it does happen because you understand fully what it took to get there in not the best car as of yet.

Loved George at Williams until the Botha's incedent I lost a lot of respect for him and then continuing this year where he started by throwing his toys each time he doesn't get his way also a incinuating RB was cheating, we all saw where that ended up. Lando is still a very young so he will make mistakes but his gonna be a monster in a couple years time when he has a decent car under him he will fight for podiums. Offcourse I'm calling Lando as LH replacement at Mercedes-Benz as soon as he retires.

You can tell what a driver is made of when he is Lando's position. Some accept it and finish the best of the rest while others dnf trying to fight faster cars, go for ridiculous lunges because they know they only one chance to do so. Accepting that your car can not do any better is mature but throwing the kitchen sink is what I desire. Leclerc was in a similar position in 2020 and 2021, Verstappen was in a similar position 2016 - 2018 and we all know what who we remember from their times and for what.

I'm just sad how the media (SkyF1, Netflix and others) are trying to destroy the sport for clicks. The battle on track, the rivalry and the sportsmanship isn't enough for them. Norris would not join Max at RB because the car is designed around Max and his driving style. Also Lando wouldn't accept being a No 2. I can see him replacing Lewis. Its a known fact that RB and Merc have spoken to him in the past but hes happy at Mclaren at the moment.
