The full "Day in The Life" video w/ Charlee Soto is right here! 🔥 • I Visited America’s Fa...
We went down to Kissimmee, Florida to see Charlee Soto, the 17-year-old making national headlines throwing almost 100 MPH. Charlee is a projected first-round draft pick this year and is looking like MLB's next big flame-throwing righty. I wanted to see what goes on in a "day in the life" of a future professional baseball player - how he trains, what he eats, his throwing routine, etc. - so we took a flight down to FL to find out! Hope you guys enjoy it! 🔥

what does age have to do with Throwing 99 MPH? i can throw over 100 MPH in High school. Throwing hard have to do with quick twitch muscles. you acting like if he turn 20 year old he can throw 110 mph.

it’s called giving a description of the kid so it’s not just him looking at a rando from the school buddy. maybe use your context clues you just learned since your obviously still in third grade.

Do this kid a favor and tell him to STOP trying to throw with 120% at all times. He’s got an awesome arm… haven’t we realized that letting these kids air it out all the time at such a young age is a recipe for destroying a good young arm. If he’s able to throw 99 at 17, then he can probably throw 94-95 at about 85-90%. He’s still growing and developing. Give him a fair chance to have some longevity. I’m just tired of seeing young pitchers with potential being encouraged to go all out at such a young age and ending up destroying the elbow or shoulder. Everyone thought Strasburgh was able to throw at that sort of velocity with no issues at such a young age… he is now plagued by injuries and I do believe firmly that they could have been mitigated or maybe avoided all together if he was instead encouraged to back off just a little bit.

@@gravityinLA I’m so glad someone else besides me and my brother actually still believes in the philosophy that I used to be taught along with a lot of other young kids… usually whenever I say this I just get people telling me I’m an idiot. Ok… but I don’t think it’s coincidental that the modern approach is to “air it out” and in the modern game pitchers are considered disposable goods.

If he's only seventeen imagine how hard any team he plays for is going to lean on him.. and then see how long the velocity last. It sucks but that's a matter of a fact when you have somebody young that's already peeking a team or stupid coaching will lean on a particular player to float them. And then before you know it they've torn something. Hopefully that doesn't happen to this young fella..

Doubt it. Whoever has him will want to keep him down to make sure his body fully develops before putting it under too much consistent stress. It's the benefit of a farm system. Plus you probably don't want to bring him up and start his service clock until you are a year or maybe two away from a having real contending team.
@tima.478
@tima.478 9 ай бұрын
@@XXelpollodiabloXX 160 games is a tremendously hard grind. MLB players make it look easy because they have been developed. Thus, the PDC's (player development centers) in the minors. When I played, even the 90 game MiLB schedule was brutal on my body. Only about 5 players in MLB history have ever completely skipped the farm system...this guy won't be one of them!
@XXelpollodiabloXX
@XXelpollodiabloXX 9 ай бұрын
@@tima.478 Yeah, that was my thinking, too. It's not as hard on a guy who only throws every few days, or maybe one or two innings a night, but constant workouts and the schedule stress will be hard. He's still a kid and not done growing. I'm also not sure of the competition level he's been playing at, because once you get up into the minors things start to get way more challenging. If you are dealing filth in high school, that's all well and good, but you aren't even playing against the best high school players in the country. College will up that level a bit, but pro ball will be where you see what you're really made of. I'm sure there are some rough edges that need polishing, just like with everybody.

If his goal is to make money, he'll make a bunch with his arm speed. If his goal is to be an all time great he'll need to open his ears to listening to coaches who can get him on the path of pitching as an art form, by setting up pitches and keeping batters guessing.

Hey! question for you! Have you ever accepted Jesus as your personal savior from your sins? Please let me explain real quick... We have all sinned. Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Our sins have a penalty. That penalty is hell. Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death..." Because of our sin, when we die, hell is our eternal destiny. But here is the good news, the verse doesnt stop there. It continues "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:8 says "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." We have all sinned and we deserve to go to hell, but God sent His son, Jesus, to die for our sins and pay the penalty we owe. Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ! God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to earth to die for our sins and pay the penalty for our sins! Jesus died for our sins, but He rose again from the dead and beat death! By accepting Jesus as your savior in faith, you can inherit eternal life in heaven! Repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ today! Place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! Call out to Jesus today and ask Jesus to forgive your sins and save your soul! In Florida we can play sports year round only stopping for hurricanes for the most part. It doesn't get cold enough to stop and alot of our fields are turf so rain doesn't hurt us either

The DR ones yeah but not the PR🇵🇷 ones. When have you ever heard of a Puerto Rican player being busted for steriods?? There has never been one. But you definitely see lots of dominicans (Largest group by nationality caught with steroids in baseball as stated by NY TIMES) being suspended in MiLB & MLB.

He should throw 94-95 most of the game and focus on location and ramp it up only a few times when needed.

I’m glad people are actually focusing on future MLB players rather than hyping up a 12 year old for no reason 😂

TJ in 5 years im calling it. this is super unorthodox. throwing 99 at 17 is ridiculously good but getting him injured before he even steps into A ball is not doing him any favors.

Have you heard of Travis Sykura? He’s only 15 or 16 and throws 100 -101 mph. He plays for the Round Rock Dragons.
