You mentioned the pub had been around for a while. A pub from the 40s still being around is pretty common. The UK has some very old pubs. e.g. there's a pub called the Mayflower which is where the Mayflower (the ship carrying the Pilgrims) set sail from or the Seven Stars which was built 1602. There's one pub that has a licence to serve ale from 1397 and another that's supposedly been serving alcohol since 560. My local was built before the USA was a thing. I think this Neil Gaiman quote is appropreate "America is a country where 100 years is a long time, and England is a country where 100 miles is a long way."

Idk if anyone's mentioned this before, but in the script book for season 1 there's deleted scenes and there's one that I find extra sweet and interesting. During the regency era, right before Aziraphale was about to open his bookshop for the first time, he was offered a promotion by Gabriel and asked to go back to heaven. Right at that moment, Crowley came to visit Aziraphale at the bookshop with some gift chocolates. To get out of this promotion and stay on earth, Aziraphale really plays the "bit I'm the only one that can thwart the demon Crowley" card. Crowley hears this and decides to play the part. He purposely go somewhere Grabriel can hear him and starts talking evil plans and how Azriaphale is just soooo annoying always thwarting his evil plans, so much so that he was so discouraged he was about to end it all and drink holy water. But now that it's rumored Aziraphale will go back to heaven he's free to spread evil on earth again. Gabriel goes back to Aziraphale to tell him his promotion is off and he can stay on earth. Aziraphale doesn't know what Crowley did for him. I really recommend reading it, it's really fun and I'm not that great at telling stories sorry.

There are a number of fanfic writers who have written stories where Furfur has an obsessive crush on Crowley (who is either ignoring him or has no idea). That line "poor old Furfur" is probably where that came from.

Fact about season 2 while it was in making. there was going to be a flashback to the 1960s where Crowley and Aziraphale were going to be female presenting! Neil Gaiman had to choose between multiple flashback scenarios, and he chose the ones we have in the episodes. I'm happy with what we got, but it would've been cool to see them presenting as females.

Many people state that Crowley was in hell for a long time (even years or decades) after the incident in Edinburgh but Aziraphale writes in his diary that he met Crowley in Edinburgh last month. At the end he says that that “was the last he was to see of Crowley for quite some time”. Meaning that when he is writing in his diary, he had already met Crowley again. As all of this happened just last month, this means that it had been only around 3 - 6 weeks of them not seeing each other. So Crowley has not been in hell for a long time - only a few weeks tops. It also means that at this point not seeing Crowley for a few weeks is considered “quite some time” by Aziraphale.:)

SPOILERS: No, it was a "CLUE!" I'll grant you, I guess Neil was a bit to obscure with that one but Mason, is a reference to Freemasons, an ancient and secretive organization. There are levels within the order and "secret" initiation rites for induction to each. They have long been a favorite target of conspiracy theorists. But note, all Freemasons are male. (Woman have a sister organization, Daughters of the Eastern Star.) So the bartender saw Beelzebub as a guy, confirming Neil's assertion that Lord Beelzebub is non-binary. And also, at ceremonies, Freemasons where clothes like their bowler hat and sash. So to him, Beez was just another Mason but Gabriel, in his bespoke, expensive suit, appeared important and out of the ordinary for the Freemasons and that pub.

Creepy emotionally manipulative and abusive controlling attitude is, uh, that, regardless.
