So a fun fact about Enel and his powers - He told all the viewers exactly what he was in his introduction when he pranked the high priests that were fighting each other; it's the same thing he told Kamakiri here as well. "Watashi wa kaminari da" This line is actually the equivalent of a double entendre; it can be translated/interpreted in two different ways. During his introduction, they translated it into the subs as "I am God." However, in this latest scene, it was translated as "I am lightning." It's a play on words because, as they've explained in this arc, Kami on its own means God while "kaminari" is the Japanese word for lightning. So, just a fun bit of word play that served as a clue to explain Enel's power right as he made his own introduction.

The symbols are part of a greater theme for eneru based on the character Raijin from Japanese mythology. Raijin is depicted as a lightining and thunder deity that has these drums (taiko) attached to a metal circle. The taiko drums are often depicted with this symbol and he beats them to cause the sound of thunder. The actual symbol of three commas is known as Tomoe and has many meanings but in general refers to the circle of life. Some believe it to be the representation of the threefold division (man, earth and sky) at the heart of Shintoism

fun bit about Gedatsu there is a cover story (mini side story in manga told on covers) that tells what happened after he fell through the ground. Where he crashes into a blue sea island. Befriends a man and helps him create a hot spring resort where Vivi ends up visiting. There's a lot of these cover stories that tell stories of former enemies and side characters and what they did after they met the SH. Like the mini Buggy adventure and Koby + Helmeppo's training under Garp that were actually animated.

Btw, this is around the time when Oda finished another one of his (unadapted in the anime) cover stories. This one is particularly one of my favorites, as it centres around the worst guy ever, the lovable Wapol! So after being sent flying by Luffy, Wapol wakes up on an island immediately regaining his old,chubby figure by eating off of the land. The first thing he does, of course, is pester all the wildlife and people inhabiting it,like a loser kid. Unfortunately for him,he's now penniless, hounded by the Marines,and getting peed on by dogs under bridges. He tries to sell matches like the Little Match Girl,but everyone just looks at him in disgust. His big breaks comes once he starts eating broken toys to ease his sorrow,and inadvertedly uses his devil fruit to create stronger toys,which the kids around town go crazy for! He eventually sets up a shop once he realizes that it's a profitable business,and is even recognized for creating an incredibly sturdy metal alloy through this process,called "Wapometal". Now even richer than he was back in Drum, Wapol creates his own business conglomerate and marries Miss Universe. So I guess the moral of the story is, if you act like Wario, you'll eventually get rich (?) Oh and also, at this same time, Dalton officially became the new king of Drum, with Hiriluk's Jolly Roger becoming the country's new flag. So cute!

Chopper referring to himself as a monster is so bittersweet because we know that he was mistreated and discriminated against for being different from both his reindeer family and from humans because both groups viewed him as a monster. But once he met luffy and the strawhats he learned that even monsters deserve love when he saw Sanji refer to luffy as a monster in an endearing manner. It’s great to see him embracing this part of himself and finally feeling confident in his strength but it’s also heartbreaking to see our adorable little doctor who cares so much that he even saves the lives of enemies feel like he’s a monster
