I’m surprised this hasn’t been sampled yet by a secular artist... This is a hidden gem. 👌🏾

Actually I think that's a replayed hook from Melba Moore's Standing Right Here.

Dr Mattie and her daughters were ahead of their time. That’s why they had glorious sounds no one in the Gospel world had. God knows who to give these awesome gifts to, because they will be the first ones to get the negative feedback. But the Lord also fortifies them!

Wow they are truly the pioneers of contemporary gospel. This song sounds so R & B . My mom recently told me back then if you were they were told not to listen to the Clark sister because they were “juking”. Also, I hear you Denise !!❤

I've been searching for this gem for literally decades! I first heard it on late night gospel, with Hoss Man on 1510 AM, WLAC out of Nashville, TN. This had to be back in 1980-1982. FINALLY! FINALLY! I've found it again! It's like a miracle! I love this song. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS SONG!

You and me both. We probably heard it the same night. I was in high school and would wake up out of sleep just to listen to the broadcast. I would be so sleepy in school the next day.

She studied classical music.. you can feel how natural the non traditional music is in her.. she probably passed it on to Twinkie which helped her to blend all genres of music in her compsotions
