Well, it's funny seeing everyone's reaction to Stella's brother (Andrelophus) commenting on her looks, but he is canonically gay, so it's not a Habsburg/Lanister situation. The biggest theory i've seen and agree with is that he's basically trying to appear straight by commenting on a woman's looks (because he is a royal), just not realizing the bad implication with his sister. There's also the possibility that his family is meant to be beautiful (he is a peacock), and he emphasizes that with Stella because that's her only good trait.

Before going into the lore behind the Vassago from demonolog, a fun fact about his design: His design first appeared way back in the Hazbin Hotel pilot among the Overlords when Vaggie was saying the line "Many have speculated what unimaginable forces enabled him to rival our world's most ancient and destructive evils". Speaking of design: The most common depiction of him I've seen is a humanoid riding a crocodile. But since he isn't depicted in the Ars Goetia and the Goetia demons are mostly birds, I think his design in the show makes sense. Speaking of "Ars Goetia": He is listed in both the Liber Officiorum Spirituum and, of course, the Ars Goetia itself: In the Liber, he is named "Usagoo". Here, he appears as an angel who can make women fall in love with you and reveal hidden treasure. He commands only 20 legions in this version. In the Ars Goetia, meanwhile, he is the third spirit and the first of the seven Princes of Hell (Stolas is listed as the 5th btw) said to be of a good nature and the same nature as Agares, the second spirit who is depicted as an old man riding a crocodile. Vassago is said to rule 26 legions of demons and is able to find lost objects as well as tell wizards the past and future. He is said to be the opposing force to the angel Sitael.

Satan is a Deadly Sin, he is the Sin of Wrath. The seamonster fish girl with two heads is Leviathan, Sin of Envy. The sheep girl with a candle on her head is Belphegor, Sin of Sloth. The only Deadly Sin that was missing in this episode is Lucifer Morningstar, the Sin of Pride. Blitz and his crew are the first Hellborn Demons to have ever survived after being sentenced to death by a Deadly Sin (which is Satan), this is considered to be a historical event in all of Hell. That's why there are many Hellborns cheering for Blitz and there were fireworks to celebrate them.

And so, after being name-dropped since the Pilot, Satan, sometimes called "The Satan", finally makes his on-screen debut. And it did not disappoint in the slightest. Now, there's obviously a LOT one can say about him but I wanna keep this relatively short so I'll focus on the important stuff as well as a few things people may not know about him: 1. Since he's the most common name for the devil, there are countless different depictions and descriptions of him. And while not all depictions are big and red, most I've seen do include claws and horns, like in this show. He is also described as a great red dragon in the Book of Revelation. So alongside Asmodeus, his design in the show is the closest to real life depictions out of all the Sins. 2. His name comes from the Hebrew language and literally means "accuser" or "adversary" (which makes his role as judge in this episode a nice reference). It is also often, though not always, used interchangeably with "Lucifer", "Beelzebub" and "Bael", among many other names. 3. In Judaism, he is originally a servant of god. Though I've heard that in modern times, his relationship to God can differ depending on who you ask. Only in Christianity and Islam, he is considered God's enemy. However, Muslims don't necessarily see him as the cause of all evil like the Christians do (of course, some do, but to my understanding, it's not the widely accepted version). Rather, he is seen as someone who uses what is already there. 4. His arabic name is "Shaitan". It means "devil" or "demon" and comes from the triliteral root š-ț-n which means "astray" or "distant". However, in the Quran, he is called "Iblis". Though I've been told the figure is more of a Satan/Lucifer mix. And finally: 5. In the Middle Ages, Satan was treated more as a joke, a minor nuisance who was constantly outsmarted by Saints and sometimes even just ordinary people. It wasn't until the early modern period where Satan became more powerful and thus more feared by people.

I can say that the episode was a nicely executed story within this part of the closing of season 2 of this year. As I am going to be curious on what might happen next. Also the rulers of Wrath, Envy and Sloth looking so amazing 😄 Also it seems interesting in that desk drew when Loona trying to burn it before grabbing the photo. You can see a Spring Broken reference with the “Parking Spot” note that Blitz made about payment with a horse drawing on it. Before that moment if you think about the game Loona playing on the computer is a nice reference of “Dogs playing Poker” painting but in hellaverse fashion. With that say, Vassago is voiced by Harvey Guillen. As he is known for doing Perrito from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish So it might be sad to witness the end of S2 of Helluva boss, but glad we might be getting two more seasons after this season is over. So mark your calendars ready for it and possible news on the upcoming season 2 of Hazbin hotel if there going to be.

Now for season 2 finale coming most likely around Xmas! 2 amazing displays of love in this episode. First Blitz willingly sacrificing himself for his found family, Loona, Moxxie, and Millie. And then Stolas willingly sacrificing himself for Blitz. He did it thinking he was actually going to be executed before he knew he wasn't. As well Blitz admitting he realized Stolas was telling the truth about his feelings too late, and when Stolas looked at Blitz one last time before Blitz was pulled away and thrown out the door you can see hearts form in Stolas's pupils for a frame. This definitely sets the stage for a change in story next 2 seasons I think. With Stolas now living amongst the lower class he will learn true horrors I suspect. And Blitz surviving a execution trial did put a fire in his race. I wonder if we might get a revolution!? Also to add, Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel being referenced in this episode had me going nuts. I hope he comes in for real in a later season!

Tho Stolas is miserable right now, this is probably the best thing to happen to him. At the start of the season his song was him saying how he feels like an owl in a cage where he might be rich but he has no freedom. He is caged by his responsibilities to his royal lineage and ale to love who he wants to. Now he is free of that cage and can fly as high as he likes. It is worrisome tho for Via because if something should happen to her then all of the assets go to Stella.

Literally his goal was get hold of Stolas' assets and he only leaned what was happening by randomly switching through television channels. What was his goal here making Blitz look like the bad guy? Seriously what am I missing here?

His plan was proprably to make Stolas see it and because he would see it so late into the ,,trail'' he couldn't get a good defense up Pretty sure he is not even suprised when you see him after Stolas came so it's either an animation error or just his plan

His plan was to set Blitz up as the villain knowing Stolas would see this and defend him, mnoeung that Stolas watches TV when sad (like he would be after a breakup) and the only defense Stolas has to save Blitz is to confess that he did everything

Well, it's hard to notice but all the Tv's suddenly change to the execution channel (random Imps, Verosika, Fizz, Stolas) and so long as Stolas was watching Tv (which seems to be all he does now while moping), Stolas would then show up. The whole point of going after Blitz is that Stolas would be forced to show up unprepared and basically have to take the blame as going through the details would have still proved Blitz guilty, additionally Stolas would have been given a fair trial and had time to make up evidence if he had been accused directly.

Andrealphus wins no matter what. Scenario 1 - Stolas doesn't see it, Blitzo is executed, Stolas is crushed by the loss and Andrealphus can just basically take his station and Stolas will do nothing to stop him because he no longer cares. Scenario 2 - Stolas intervenes and tries to flip the accusation onto Andrealphus and Stella. Andrealphus is, unfortunately, intelligent. That's why Stella is nowhere near this case, cause she's a moron. So HE has the "evidence", Striker in other words, supporting the plot to assassinate Stolas, he has the initiative, the majority of Hell is on his side already because none of them care about Imps and a Hellhound, and Stolas can only confess that he let an Imp seduce him into betraying Hell. Blitzo will almost CERTAINLY be executed just to show Hell that trying this kinda shit has consequences, Stolas will be broken by his death, and Andrealphus can then just assert that Stolas is unfit to rule and he should get his legions and power since Octavia is not of age. Scenario 3 - What we've just seen. Stolas saves Blitzo, and HE takes the credit for all of this. If Stolas comes up and says "This wasn't him, it was all me, I'M the one who orchestrated everything behind the scenes" nobody can say "Nah you're just lying" cause they don't have evidence. Ozzie and Bee both know he's full of it, but they can't do anything about it. So a Goetia gets all the credit, and the accused Imp is just an Imp, so he gets to leave because as Satan said, Imp kind is just supposed to be obedient. Even Striker who SHOULD be on trial for trying to KILL a Goetia gets excused because he was just doing HIS job. The whole trial is all about Imps trying to rise above their station, so the only way to save Blitzo is to take away his agency in the whole plot. Now Andrealphus has Stolas in a corner, and he can just take away his power and usurp him. For 100 years, which to immortals is not terribly long, he wanted a permanent solution, and I'm VERY frightened to get that solution he and Stella are going to turn OCTAVIA against Stolas so that they can have power THROUGH HER forever. Stella just wanted to hurt Stolas as well, so that will be everything she'd ever wanted, so Andrealphus gets all the power functionally. So there's nothing Stolas could've done except fall into the trap. Because, they ARE guilty. Andrealphus HAS THEM because while he was full of bullshit, the baseline accusation is TRUE. They DID use the Grimoire to access the mortal realm illegally. Back in season 1 when Stolas saves them from the demon hunters, he says outright if THEY get in trouble, then HE gets in trouble. Getting caught is the worst case scenario, and Andrealphus just caught them. They're screwed no matter what, so Stolas had no choice but to shoulder all of the blame, and while STOLAS believed this to be a death sentence for him, Andrealphus probably knew already Satan wouldn't execute a Goetia, he just wanted to dethrone Stolas and he knew he'd get that no matter what. Since Octavia is only 17, he was in a perfect position to take over. I REALLY hope he and Stella get theirs.

In the beginning tho Stella only says Stolas's heart is "set on" by the imp and that he finally realized all the imp wanted is his grimoir. How from that Andreolphus figured that if he gets the imp sentenced to death Stolas will sacrifice everything for him? Or it just did not matter, if not, than an imp dies and nothing else happens?

Day 168 of asking you to react to epic the musical. 1:22 it isnt just a plaque it is the first of many plaques that you will be getting. 5:09 that justreminded me of how blitz is the smartest and dumbest charecter and the best and worst character. 13:05 the inner theater kid called stolas. 17:32 i just remebered olivia i fwlt so bad for her untl the next scene where he survived. This episode redeemed blitz for me.
