In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to replace a sky in an image using Photoshop. I previously used this image to replace a sky using Luminar 4 and mentioned, I could do it in Photoshop, but it would take longer. A person commented that I wouldn't be able to do it. So, in this video, I did it. been following you for me than couple of years now. You Do a great job in explaining things

And you did a very good job at it, but your method is NOT the fastest one, THERE is a much faster method, as I wrote, using blend if and smart objects, under two minutes. Keep on the good work.

You explain things so easy, getting to the important stuff straight off, no waffling like so many other channels. Great video once again

Nice work, but it emphasizes the fact that I really don't want to use Photoshop. I like dumbed down options like Lightroom Classic along with Luminar.

Well done - you won the bet! (I *knew* you could do it!)

Thankyou Anthony. I am teaching myself PS by watching your videos. ….. Started at episode 1... Yes I have to keep redoing them (using my own photos) but am slowly understanding more faster than what I did in the beginning. Coming from S. Africa I have a lot of animal shots some of which I would like to make certain changes to.... May I send you an email and photo and ask your opinion. ie… have a super shot of a lion but sadly background not nice. Was wondering if background could be blacked out and subject artfully dodged and burnt?

Nice now, can you do it in Affinity photo?

Very nice tutorial Anthony. I noticed that you used the eraser. Whenever I use it it becomes “sticky”; ie I can’t go back to a normal brush unless I do a bunch of “tool presets reset” so it really is a pain in the neck. I am curious to know if that has ever happened to you. Thank you!

Hi, with all due respect, there is an easier way to do it in Photoshop, using the blend if and smart object future. And with only a few clicks.
@kemerthomson4 жыл бұрын
Was one final result better than the other? An advantage with Photoshop is that there is a lot of power to further refine (and fix), although that Luminar does a pretty good job with a minimum of steps.

Great job. Still one would have to go a long way to improve on Luminar or Topaz Remask.

As Always, another great video!!! I don't have Luminar, but subscribe to PS, so always good to know additional tricks.

A challenge definitely; doubt also; BUT you are not being called a liar! Sorry Anthony.

Using Blending Options seems a whole lot simpler. Just a few clicks. Why not a video on that process?

Can we follow the same process in Affinity photo.
@Lysander-Spooner4 жыл бұрын
Luminar 4.2 for the win.

Basic technique for any Photoshop advanced user. That commentator knows nothing. You can use dodge and burn on the copy channel to refine the contrast, either, after using Levels. I always forget the defringe thing, though. So, thanks :)

For comparison sake, it would be interesting to see you do this photo in On1.

Are there many things you cannot do in Photoshop?
@MarkBowenPiano4 жыл бұрын
You could probably do this pretty quickly using the blend if controls too.

I lost interest halfway, then I realized that to be at the forefront of technology you got to be at the top of your game? I think that's why Luminary 4 will win in the Longrun......
@forgewire4 жыл бұрын
Now shoot this wide open, and put this tree in bokeh. Luminar 4 is useless 😀 When background is blurred, Luminar can replace a sh*t!
@MarkBowenPiano4 жыл бұрын
Well to be honest, anything that an AI can do can always be done (and better) by hand.
