Love this. I have never ever projected my beliefs on my family. My brother is trans and I told him I won’t let my daughter call him aunt because that’s just not in our beliefs. Yes and this man left me after he abused me again Dr. Phil. You wanted to help us but you didn’t. This man continued to abuse me after we left. He wouldn’t continue therapy. I have continued therapy I have had to press charges against him. I have had to get an ex parte order against him. I had to hire an attorney. He doesn’t even see his daughter by his choice. He does not contact his child. I reached out to the grandmother and asked her if she wanted to have anything to do with her grandchild she has not contacted me instead she contacted my attorney to try to hire her. You did nothing to help me. And all these people who want to sit here and judge me or this situation just know that family is all insane. I’ve never kept my children away from them my husband was the one who isolated us. He isolated me from everyone including my family. I am finally free of him. And Dr. Phil did nothing to help me.

I am also a Christian mother (Catholic), and I’d have a problem with witchcraft in the family too. Luckily I won the DIL sweepstakes. I couldn’t ask for better. But I’d agree that it’s not my place to interfere. I’d tell my son my feelings in private before they got serious. After that, I’d button my lip and pray like crazy. Some of us are only alive today because of our grandma’s prayers.

And some of us come from a line of what are known as "mountain witches" and "medicine men" and other older titles. They were religious, they believed the Christian way, but they also believed in the natural magic in the Earth and they combined these two to protect their families against illnesses and "works of the devil" etc. There's nothing wrong with that either. Having said that, the mother has a right to have her beliefs respected I believe they should agree to be polite.and civil to one another . Frankly I would not be comfortable encouraging a pre-pubescent child to transition, nor would I feel right about occult practices passed off as a religion. I guarantee you that will open the door to things that are dangerous. The young wife has not read the works of Hermes Trismegistus, John Dee, Helena Blavatsky, Joseph Campbell. Eliphas Levi and others that will let you know this is nothing to play with. If she knew what I know I promise you she would drop that cauldren like it was made of sh. The mom should treat her d.i.l. with respect. Nothing will come of antagonizing her but there are differences that CANNOT be reconciled. Both should agree that this is a topic not to be discussed and leave it at that. Hubby should insist that his wife and mother be civil to one another. That is the best that can be expected. All leading medical experts in the subject actually agree it’s the BEST move to start hormones BEFORE the body changes at puberty. Of COURSE much psychotherapy for any person considering this is mandatory. And for a child that knows from birth (and most DO), the families are also in therapy. It’s so much harder on the body, mind and soul to transition AFTER the body changes to adulthood. Then the person has to LITERALLY SURGICALLY UNDO THAT. Especially in the case of male to female transition. Just imagine KNOWING and THINKING like a female, living like one, and the TRAUMA of getting an Adam’s apple and your voice drops! I’ve heard that THAT is the HARDEST THING to change once it happens. You should watch that show, I believe it’s called “I’m Jazz”. It follows the life of a young male to female transition and her family. It definitely was eye opening and really explains the medical aspects, as the family are seeing top experts in the field.

Children think and do many things they later regret. If we allow children to take such life-altering steps, we should also let them own weapons, drive motor vehicles and marry. The retrospection provided by maturity means nothing. No mention either of who should pay for this undoubtedly expensive combination of therapy and medical intervention. I can only thank God that this is not my world. Nor my children's world. They have opted not to have children and I don't blame them.

One just misunderstood and misdiagnosed until recent decades in research. People mistakenly believe it’s a psychological problem that can be “fixed”. Either by maturity or psychological help. That’s the point. It can’t be “fixed” nor does it cease. It’s not a CHOICE a child makes. It’s not a learned behavior. It’s not about sexuality. It’s sheer IDENTITY. It’s in a persons hard drive. So no different than any disorder a person may be afflicted with from BIRTH. That’s EXACTLY WHY families with children born with this MEDICAL condition are advised to start hormone therapy before puberty, and patients are in psychological therapy for years BEFORE surgical intervention. Seriously, watch a few episodes of the BEGINNING of that series. It was hugely popular. But the first episodes really explain, medically, exactly what these poor kids go through. This is a real family, and the child Jazz, is a real person with this. The show follows her life from childhood. It explains it so much better than I am lol.

I am 32 years old and have been Christian since I was a child and I grew up in a Christian family, and they teach me to respect and to not judge others, I have atheist friends as well and muslims and jewish friends, all of my friends are kind people. One of my brothers was for a short while a non-christian, but my parents still respected him, and they was not embarest of him, and keep contact with him when he was a non-christian, and he was still a good person. God created us with a free choise, its against christianity to force people to become christians, and its illegal in christianity to prejudge others We should all be humble and we should not feel worse or better than others. Christians are not a homogenous group of people, we are as different as people who are not Christians, we are individual people. Unfortunately, some Christians judge others, but at least as many non-Christians judge others, many Christians are also met with prejudice by non-Christians to the same extent than the opposite, simply saying that "Christians feel better than others" is generalizing and say and prejudiced in itself, I just wanted to explane how different us humans are. Purely hypothetically, I might as well resemble an atheist as much as another Christian, it depends from person to person. The person I am most similar to is the person I have most in common with in areas other than religion, I am most similar to a person who has the same interests and hobbies and the same way of being, it could be another Christian person, but it could just as easily be a atheist or a Muslim. I am outgoing, like swimming, handball, field hockey, like to go for walks in nature, open to and talk about feelings with people I know, a little bromance personality, people who have the same personality and the same interests are the ones I most resemble, what we believe in the spiritual says little or nothing about personality Christians and Muslims and Jews and all other religious people and atheists are just as different and individual as everyone else, we are not a "separate race, where everyone thinks alike or have the same personality», it does NOT EXIST a stereotype or typical christian, we’r all different people. So this same man here left me last month. They didn’t show the clips of the abuse he put me through, don’t know why. He admitted to it. Back in March he cracked my skull open after this show aired. I was under his control. My witch craft is personal and I don’t share it with the whole world. They asked me about it and solely focused on that and my mother in law. The real issue is my soon to be ex husband. He still wants nothing to do with his family. Maybe because he just cheated on me for the last several months with a nurse and then left me for her June 14th he asked me for a divorce in counseling, but the week before he was texting me he would never consider leaving me. Then he did. I have pressed charges, he assaulted me again on that day, even attacked my kids, had to have my son call the police. He threatened to unalive me. He left us and then two weeks later picked our 6 year old up for a visit where he had made a bedroom for our child and was already sharing a room with this woman. We had just broken up!!! He already is moved in with her and bought my kid a new wardrobe and abandoned my other kids he has claimed as his own for 7 years like they are nothing!! I pressed charges. I got an ex parte, we are in therapy every week, but he left me with a house that is half way finished 3 kids, he cleared our bank accounts completely. His family wants nothing to do with my kids even though I offered for them to be in their lives, I was never keeping anyone from anyone. This was all Cory. Dr Phil didn’t help us at all!!!

Everytime Dr. Phil talks about his wife Robin I laugh because Robin is his second wife. Debby Higgins is his first wife and high school sweethearts. Oh the poor early church. They were still babes and did not have the full Bible. Instead of showing love and forgiveness, they preached in judgement and caused much death and persecution of the early church.
