There is SOOOOO much that government does that's just azz backwards. I mean, what government doesn't practice authority azz backwards, but I've seen a few documentaries about China that literally made me _actively_ not want to know anymore because it was either so infuriating, sad, or disgusting. The last bit of information I found, just from KZbin videos, not documentaries, was how someone was bitten by a dog so the government decided dogs were illegal. Like, not even if they had owners, looked after well, stayed in their property or even indoors, they had officials coming around taking people's dogs. There was a scene where they were taking a small dog away from an old lady as she was crying. That's about all I needed or wanted to know about China recently.

As a Mainland Chinese, it is really a punch in the gut to imagine just how the One Child Policy fucked up families and causing the low birth rate crisis we have today. Back then, the families that were wealthy enough could forge documents for their children other than their eldest child who are supposedly the only child of the family so that they could continue being documented citizen to receive the proper necessities and education, and me and my sister were some of them with both of us being given forged identities and raised by other people that our biological parents entrusted us to. Now with the effects of the three child policy, my own fraudulent identity is now rendered valid, but still China could be of better situation today if Deng enacted two child policy instead of one child and still keeping the population under control.
@umairashraf5167Ай бұрын
Hi quick question,why were children kidnapped because of the policy I'm genuinely curious
@typicalchineseguy5818Ай бұрын
@@umairashraf5167 some couples might be unable to have children due to being infertile and most of the kidnapped children were little boys because having a son is a big deal to continue the family bloodline. Plus, there are also some who already had daughters but due to not wanting to be pressured and humiliated by relatives for not having a son, they would also try swapping their infant children with the other oblivious parents just to have a boy as their son even if they knew that child is not theirs.
