It's somewhere written in the rulebook for school genre anime to have that character whenever the main character did something crazy. Along with the: - full of themself snobby entitlet "noble family" character - big busty airhead attitude bimbo girl, who is "surprisingly" good at school - unimportant background characters who talk loud about how they could beat the MC - and many more. My friend and I have a mental bingo list of 'anime rules' that we notice in every new anime we see. Like the things listed befor, also: - bikini/beach episode to show off female characters "features" as fan service - "strange" camera angles, - over exagurating food scenes -... The list goes on.

He's just a battle hardened veteran, and a really damn good one at that, who always specialized on speed. At least the one you see in the video here. The one I mentioned, was simply a highranking officer, and had the ego as such, that he had to have the best time on his team, even though the leader of the team was the one with the worst time ever recorded. Said team leader was smart, not fast/strong. Also, he specialized in deffensive/supportive triggers, not offensive ones, so taking a monster down alone is definietly not his forte. The one character who had time related power, was simply able to see the future. He was a very damn badass character as well. Also, he was the one who designed the mass produced trigger that Yuma here chose as his trigger of choice. simply being raised on wartorn alien planets as a soldier, as a son of a soldier who takes on batallions alone, with alien technology all around you does this to you. Hyuse had some pretty neat destructive ability as well, but even he only used the scorpion trigger (the mass produced one) instead of his unique ability. Heck, 3 members of that team could oneshot the target monster easily. Out of 4. Yuma does it in this video. Hyuse does it so many times as it takes to get a time better than Yuma's And Chika can obliterate the entire arena with 1 shot, possibly most of the testing site along with it, through all the deffenses, if she doesn'thold back, she's just not that fast with her aiming, and hence will take her a tad bit longer. Osamu is the only one on that team who'd take his time, as he's the only one that doesn't have the pure destructive power to finish it fast.

more spoiler!@#$ . .. . . . . . . he is actually in a half dead state. but he is also in a permanent half transformed state using the black trigger. though he is in a half transformed state. he is simply skilled. during this half state he can still use other triggers regular ones. which basically level the state. what makes this worlds trigger unique is the bail out system. which is a emergency return system included in every trigger of their. having this system early on in development impacted the weapon development badly, because of "space for other functions". this however is compensated by having skilled solders who has a higher survivability with the bail out system.

Yuma was a beast. He could have seriously been at the top by now, but he's held back by his team- yet the team is what makes it all interesting. Osamu and Chika's character development as they try to catch up to Yuma has been great. With Osamu slowly turning into a tactician while Chika adjusts to her role as the secret weapon, and now Hyuse joins- I'm really hoping for a Season 4.
