You are playing at a really good level, well done. For Game 2, I disagree with holding the city during friendly robber and I'm not being results orientated. As the OWS player, your advantage over the road player is getting your cities faster and beating your opponent with production.

Going along with that, I think the 6 block was wrong. The opponent had a massive wheat port, and the 6 was a better roll for phantom than the opponent in my opinion since the opponent had the same amount of cities, and the self block was more damaging since the opponent had much higher production. I think phantom was unlucky in that game tho

Watching you 4:1 the wheat for an ore when you're on a 5 ore instead of just buying a dev makes no sense to me. What is the thought process there?

He’s on even more wheat, sometimes your numbers just don’t roll, getting a city/settle on those numbers knowing they will start to role is beneficial. Otherwise you are just waiting to 7out while waiting for the resources you need

@@TW19-b5z This doesn't really make a lot of sense. First you say "sometimes your numbers just don't roll," then you say that getting cities/settlements on those same numbers is beneficial because they are going to start rolling. Which is it? Are they going to roll or aren't they? Second, if he bought a dev, that would have put him at 7 cards, making it highly unlikely that he 7s out any time within the next ~3-4 turns, at which point he will probably have the resources to buy another dev, road, city, or settle. I would argue that if you 4:1 for anything there, its wood to build a road to setup your next settle.

@@obstaclle the game has balanced dice, if your numbers roll less than the average production shows on the tiles you can assume they are gonna start rolling. It’s why he sometimes says, 6 is on cooldown as it rolled above average earlier. On the porting, he had a lot of wheat production making it so he has different options so doesn’t matter that much I think.

@@TW19-b5z It is so early in the game that using statistics like that with such a small dataset doesn't even make sense. But, if you're going use those statistics, then you would look and see that the 10 rolled, then the 8, then the 5, then the 8. Statistically, the 5 would be the next number to be rolled between the 5, 8, and 10 (using this reasoning) which is exactly what happens.

@@obstaclle the balanced dice don’t work like that, normally you would need a few hundred rolls to get an even distribution, they just artificially reduced that high requirement of rolls downward by adding weighted calculations. There’s no perfect statistical solution as part of it is still chance. It’s easy to comment about the plays being able to look back rather than in game.
