Brilliant session, well done! Agree with you about catching Barbel on the float, used to have great times in the 90's on the Kennett doing that, stick float on the gravel runs down the inside of the streamer weed with double caster over a bed of hemp - Sadly, not the same now due to Otters and Signal Crayfish .

@@nute2706 I did my first trip for 12 years to Aldermaston a couple of weeks ago - No Chub or Barbel but I did have 4 pristine Grayling including a new PB plus Perch to half a pound, a couple of Dace and a Roach.

Most of my barbel fishing is done with a 12ft Guru N-Gauge Power Feeder rod :) with a Guru A-Class reel with 10lb line :)

Thanks Mitchell! 👍 For this kind of fishing Cal is using a 12ft Guru N-Gauge Power Feeder :) and I had an 11ft A-Class feeder rod - the A-Class rods are less expensive and not quite so powerful but still decent!
