Well if they acknowledged him that he is a skilled individual then it means every other class will just be equal to a class who has worse skill than a lowest class and this may take a bad reputation because some selfish noble father or mother won't accept that and will keep repremand the school if possible they may ruin the reputation of the school that's one reason the other is their pride that says"i mocked him in front of everyone if I do this that will be a hit to my pride" (well it wouldn't actually happen since his tallent is already top notch)so that's the second one Tbh they could have acted a little normally instead of going that crazy just to take one guy down like that
