Why not just be honest with him then and tell him they fake? For all we know he could have brought them from someone and genuinely thought they were really legit. The best ones for scammers to sell are the high price designer ones as not as many of us have seen them in person so can't do the same checks we would on the run of the mill Nike ones we see daily. Because then you're risking a confrontation. You're accusing someone of essentially lying to you and trying to pull one over on you. Plus 99.9999% of the time you tell someone something is fake they go "oh why?" Plus it's all on camera anyway so he shouldn't be worried about any confrontation. Men have always settled things with a good fight over centuries so why let that change now. It's 1 of 2 things either he knows they are fake af but he's still trying to pass them off or he's genuinely been had over by the seller and he thinks he's sat on some 5k heat. Personally I won't pay more than £200 for anything that I'm gonna walk on lol The last time I had some really nice Jordans I paid just over retail for the Trophy room 4s in blue and 3 weeks later my dog had taken the left foot and ragged it to bits in the garden lol. So now I refuse to lose more than 200 on a shoe
