I created something very similar to this myself, because figured the combo of Bulgarian and Armenian bonuses would be insane. The militia-line ends up super cheap because of having supplies and the Goth bonus. I have the Japanese faster attacking bonus instead of hunt bonus, simply because higher DPS early on vs house walling and killing units faster. Not walling up also did not help here. I also had the same team bonus for mine but seeing the monk play I'd reconsider Teuton bonus perhaps for conversion resistance. I also had Forced Levy as Imperial UT. If the game goes late you basically make trash champions that are super food discounted. With all the archers and monks, Eagle Warriors were probably the play here if enabled. Centurion for the even higher movement and attack speed as the UU. It was fun to see the concept in action and how nasty it can be. Most players would just die to a civ like this.

Good job. Archers + micro gave time to counter attack. Then amidst distractions he erred more. Then you boomed to have strong counters/ defense, which allowed you to handle his advanced infantry attack. Finally you stabilized at home and put far too much pressure at his base and he no longer had the strongest “death ball” on the map.

Teutonic Knights in this civ certainly wouldn't have been optimal as champions already do the same job, but it certainly would have been funny. Or Berserkers with all that armor and monks healing behind.

I am at an early point in the video at the 4 minute mark. I am already worried about the Monk plan. It sounds good in theory. Even in theory, I can for see your Monks dying if you do not have some units to body block the opponent for a few seconds. Not sure if this is my inexperience opening up more possibilities or just plain ignorance on my part due to inexperience. I am currently at the point where I can sometimes beat a moderate A.i. and am developing my game. Though, many parts of my game are still weak.

i suggest skipping the elite upgrade and going for the unique tech first ( on normal matches ) after testing the catapract against halbs / pikes in castle age and imp and with / without the unique tech, i found the unique tech works alot better than the elite upgrade, if you dont believe me then test it, load up a custom scenario and have 100 halbs fight 50 cataphracts with and without unique tech elite and not elite.
