My favorite way of using stone wall is to destroy opponents offense army by building semi functioning wall with a little hole in the middle. this way opponents will try to rush in from the hole instead of breaking the stone wall. They send their troops in i use lots of onager and scorp. a few big blast the enemies offense troops are all done and then i start my offense... i can win even from an inferior military position by using semi fucntioning walls and siege

At low elo, i do really well with them. I normally start off with a scout rush. In castle age, i switch to cav archers. If I'm countered with skirms, i go samurai and clean up

Scorpions are more than twice as expensive as arbalests. A ball of 20 heavy scorps is 40+ arbs. Both armies will shred hussars. Both armies have the same counter: Good SO and BC shots.

Update that’s brings ballistic for scorpions was so unnecessary and bad. Devs are bringing aoe1’s mistakes to aoe2. What’s next ballistic for onagers? Everybody knows that archers will become useless when the siege get ballistic. Look at aoe1 units where archers are 🤡 and siege is 🗿. Catapults and balistas dominate with ballistic and the same will happen in aoe2 if we won’t protest. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I really hope they will change the appearance of hussar to the newly introduced “raider” from battle for Greece. It just fits better. That change would concern only non European civs.

I think it would be nice if longswords upgrade also gave a +1 anti cavalry armor so they take a bit less damage and trade better

I know it’s a game and not real life, but in real life, infantry were viable because cavalry and archers were both vastly more expensive and time-consuming to produce. Infantry had worse speed, and worse range, But they were cheaper and faster to mass. If the game wants infantry to have a chance against cav and archers, production time and cost need to go up for the other two.

Siege onagers should be buffed and give it to more civs especially for those civs don't have bombard cannon.

Hmmm... I think the Mongol play made a mistake not making more Onagers in Imp. he waited too long and really needed them when you started having 10+ scorpions at all times, I say this as a measly ~1000 player who plays Mongols on Arabia a lot but this is a mistake I've made and I see others make even before the recent Scorpions buff. I kinda think the heavy scorpion could use a nerf, like to damage, but I think even before ballistics Scorpions if you tried to take any mass of unit into a mass of Scorpions you were doing it wrong it's just you could get away with it with micro before. Either way I think a damage nerf to Heavy Scorpion might be the best thing, it's good that we have to respect them now but with the only real response being Onagers that's too much, Heavy Cav. should at least be able to get threaten them in mass and maybe Light Cav. if there are enough of them.

bro didn't make a single onager. The fight waa around a siege workshop, just make at least a mangonel and click garrison, simple. Scorpions were always able to win fights like that, I used to face scorpions + hussar back in voobly and you always counter the scorpion mass with at least 5 onagers, is not that hard. You just trade down those scorpions and then engage, bro just went in and died. Also, you always see rhe scorpion play from a mile away, if your opponent makes a lot of siege workshops in his base you click onager or chemistry for bbcs, again, is not that hard.

The most broken unit in the game is you Hera your too good atm 🤣
