Elvis was and always will be the greatest. We the fans know the real Elvis not you the people trying to make a buck. If they hate Elvis, it's because they weren't as talented. Berlin didn't like the way Elvis sang White Christmas. It wasn't banned. I suggest those who hated Elvis weren't in his talent bracket. Elvis and Jerry Reed didn't hate Elvis, he was pissed because the Colonel wanted the publishing rights to Guitar Man. Look at the interview by Jerry Reed what he said. Elvis intervened and Jerry kept his rights. Blame the Colonel not Elvis. Elvis wasn't weird he was a genius. Elvis thought Jerry Reed was a bundle of talent. Elvis made the music and the Colonel handled the business.

You have a ton of errors here, as Jerry Reed loved Elvis, but he didn't want to give up rights to publishing on his song. The same went with Dolly Parton and it's why Elvis never sang Whitney Houston's biggest hit, first, while Dolly totally loves Elvis, too. Elvis would also step in when he knew about these things, as he largely stayed out of the business side of things. However, and I have many criticisms of Tom Parker, but the Colonel asking a writer for a piece of the publishing was smart given his client was the most successful artist on the charts, in the 20th century. And not just as a solo artist, either, as Elvis even had better chart numbers than the Beatles, which has all been laid out by Billboard's Joel Whitburn. Thus, having your song recorded by Elvis - especially if it was good - was an automatic big cash winner. Hence, it was a win - win situation in that way but could be looked at as a loss to Elvis, too, as he was deprived of the better material by more established songwriters. Brando, who Elvis could have very much given a run for his money as an actor if he had more roles such as 'King Creole,' was obviously jealous of the fact that Elvis generally is considered the Icon of Icons. The eating stuff is also totally overblown, as although there were times in the last few years Elvis ate a lot, he would also fast and eat nothing for many days then, too. While his eating habits through the vast majority of his life were quite normal, and he often ate less than most, staying around 170lbs., through the entire decade of the 60s, at 6 ft. tall. He also didn't die of a drug overdose inasmuch as drug overdoses are very peaceful deaths, while Elvis died a very violent death. Did taking too many prescription pills, for legitimate health issues, play any part in his death? Perhaps, but we still really don't know. But what we do know based upon several outstanding books on Elvis' death, is that Elvis had real medical problems in 9 of the 11 bodily systems, including his heart, his lungs, and his bowels, with the majority present from birth, and others - such as glaucoma and severe pain - from stage lights. Elvis also recorded over 700 songs and he had no trouble, at all, doing 'It's Lonesome Tonight,' which he recorded in the dark and became a number 1. Holding that position from late 1960 to right after his birthday, on January 9th, 1961, I believe.

He walked in and circled Elvis and Elvis said, what are you doing. jerry said "Damn if you ain't the best looking SOB I ever saw. WOW! That´s the worst documentary I´ve ever watched. What´s the goal of such a lot of bullshit? Badly researched, full of rumors, one sided flat-rate stories only. Yes, Elvis could eat a lot, but haven´t you got eyes to see and and brains behind? Most of his life he was slim. So why only high light a short period of his life to make him look bad? He never wrote music. So what? Hundreds of others don´t either. Does that make them weird? Btw, he could read music, he just didn´t need to. Because he was good enough to play guitar and sing without it. which is a great talent. But what do you do? You turns this talent into something bad. Jerry did not hate Elvis. On the contrary they both respected each other. So next time you decide to make a documentary try better research and keep your not-knowledge if not actually lies to yourself. No one needs that kind of crap.
