Welcome to my KZbin channel Hairliciously. In this channel, I will be taking you on a journey of my FUE hair transplant progress. Towards the end of November 2016, I had a 1700 FUE hair transplant done in South Korea at Motion Clinic (en.motionclinic.kr) to lower my hairline and to fill in my receding temples. The FUE hair transplant procedure took me about 7-8 hours to complete and cost me approximately $5000 USD.

Products I am using to supplement my FUE hair transplant:
1. HAIRLICIOUSLY Dr Pen 1.5mm 1-2x a week. (temples and hairline)
2. HAIRLICIOUSLY Hair Growth Supplement 2x a day
3. Minoxidil (Rogaine) - Minoxidil slows hair loss progression and promotes hair regrowth. I've noticed that using Minoxidil helped me grow my transplanted hairs a lot more quicker.
4. Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000 mg + HAIRLICIOUSLY Vitamins

If someone had a thick enough beard and they are worried about the texture, perhaps chemically rebonding would make it look more natural . Like the lisco Japanese hair. Treatment. I've seen it do wonders on African American hair in terms of how smooth and silky it can get the hair. Might be something to look into for guys who feel like their beard hair won't blend in with the rest of their hair .

The real game changer will be when they can use stem cell technology to take the back scalp of people’s hair that is DHT resistant and clone the follicles and culture and grow them in a lab to then put into the patients own scalp. But that’s probably a long ways away when it will be affordable. LOL.

I was majorly Botched in the 1980s with Punch Grafts, The Hair Lift which ruined me literally.- A Bi Temporal flap which gladly is no longer performed. Scars all over my. head. I have had over 50 Surgeries including Scalp Reductions, Strips, Micro and Mini Grafts. Punch Grafts as I said and Tattooing which turned blue then several laser surgeries to remove the blue ink. I have had 12 corrective surgeries with Dr Woods with beard and body hair and some scalp graft VIA FUE. No visible scarring with those procedures but not as much hair left now in those areas. . No spots though or the Moth Look so that is good. My Results overall are better but nowhere what I would call good. Very See through and still the scars are still there and it is best to grow my hair longer. In short I still look like a balding man but not bald per say. I have tried several hair styles and cuts and I am stuck with a slight part but cannot go completely with the part I want because the density is not that great. I now use a topical Dutasteride and Oral form as well. In over 1 year there has been a slight improvement but still my results are not really good. I will continue to do the meds and maybe next year I may have one more surgery but am very hesitant because I do not want to create over harvesting which is now where I am very close to. Not really a good candidate any more and I do not think I ever was. Mediocre is what I would say but nowhere near the showcase results you see online. I agree with you on this. The earlier you start to bald- I was 19 and by 21 had my first two surgeries. My pattern was very strange though as it was right up the middle or mid scalp. I did not have the typical scale per say. Diffuse hair loss. It has been a 36 year battle with hair loss and a 34 one with the transplants. I will say my scalp will never be the same. Parts or it are permanently numb from the Hair Lift surgeries performed in 1989. I did get good growth with all of my surgeries and hope that the Meds will help with more density. The place says it is a 2 to 3 year program. So far my partner says it has improved. Not by very much but anything at this point is a win. Still I am not very happy overall with my hair and that may be forever. Time will tell. Also worth mentioning as far as the Donor area of people. My father at 51 was a Norwood 6 but by age 70 his donor area thinned out even more and became a very bad Norwood 7. The fringe of hair got worse so I wonder if many patients are really not good candidates after all. One seminar I attended in the late 90s said in studies no person is really a good candidate as of course hair loss can progress and there is no guarantee that the so called " Safe zone" is truly safe. It may in fact not be safe in later years of life. Sorry for long post..

David to a large extent I can empathize with you. I had two totally unnecessary hair transplants. The first one at the age of 18 and then the second one at 19. I am now 53. They were both punch graft procedures to fill my temples and lower my hair line. A year later I wanted the grafts removed and in effect I had a strip procedure to remove the plugs. This was performed in three or four procedures to try and reduce the severity of scarring. At the age of 24 I began to wear a hair piece to cover the horizontal scar that runs across the top of my old low hairline. Three years ago I shaved my head and had SMP. It's far from perfect but I know longer have to go through the hassle of wearing a hair piece. The donor scars at the back are still noticeable and the SMP hairline is too low for my age but it does work well in hiding this scar. I would go in for another hair transplant using beard and scalp hair but I have been informed by excellent people like Dr Bhatti that even with beard hair he would not operate on me. I just suck it up and try hard to focus on people who are far worse than me and try and practice gratitude when I can (I'm in no way spiritual or religious). Take care David and you are not alone.

@@oncall21 I can totally relate to your situation. Thanks for the Support as sometimes I think I am the only one stuck with this problem. My hair is not the worst but it is nowhere near the sales video look for a HT. I would say a mediocre result at best after corrective surgeries. Back then we had no internet and the Doctors just operated on you even if you were not a good candidate. I am sure it still happens but perhaps not as much. I have considered SMP but since I had a similar procedure in the Dark Ages - Early 90s that turned blue, I am not sure on it. I too wore a full cap wig for 14 years so I am sure you know what a pain hair systems can be. I have a very diffuse thin look now with perhaps a 10 to 15% Improvement from Oct 2018 when I started the Dutasteride in oral and topical form. The clinic tells me it is a 2 to 3 year program on a normal client but for me it could be 4 years. I do not think I will ever get that full head of hair I want but any improvement at this point is a win. I may go in for one last Beard and very little scalp grafts session at some point but really do not want that Moth eaten look so not certain. As a last resort and careful diligence - Dr Woods knows the situation and even he said there is very little to work with but did say he could get a few grafts. Perhaps 200 to 300 at best. It would be some spot filling. I will be 55 in June and started my first Hair Transplant way back in August of 1986. Now getting old but the problem started at age 19 so I was destined to be very bald. It has been a lifetime of surgeries and an obsession. You are right I just suck it up too since there is not much else one can do. I pray too even though I am not super religious this and meditation helps me since no person out there really can. Good luck in the Future!

It is currently not available as it would only have to be autologous hair transplants. I believe some companies are researching to make hair transplantation possible from other donors but this has not been mastered yet as the body would simply suppress any foreign entities.

a high hairline looks natural ... but proper beauty standards say that it should be low. The guy must be old and the hairline of a 20 years old would simply not suit him, so instead of being bald and having literally not frame around the face, he took what he was offered, I would have lowered it a bit and put some crown recession (yes I do think that crown recession is better than frontal recession) but still, he has a great result for a such tiny donor area !

I like your videos and appreciate all your information and research on hair loss. However, as a healthcare professional, I would be hesitant to refer to Dr. Umar's work as unethical. Hair transplant doctors work with patients to agree on a procedure with realistic expectations. This patient in particular may have been content going from a NW7 to having a high hairline even though you view this result as unsatisfactory. If you watch his other videos, Dr. Umar utilizes a variety of donor sites (head, body, nape, beard) enabling coverage for advanced baldness that many believe is unachievable. This patient is also likely eligible for more procedures given the ability to harvest from multiple donor sites.

Pops went the bald route when he got to 40s. My moms side, my grandfather went bald in his mid to late 40s I believe. Majority of the dudes my moms side, and I have no uncles, went bald in their 40s & 50s, some still still have a full head of hair. But my cuz is bald and he hasnt even approached 30 yet. Would you say this guy could achieve any benefit from derma rolling and minoxidil?
@hairliciously

Its definitely possible, depending on how well he responds to treatment. I've seen some unbelievable results.

In the long term without Fin/Dut they are not possibile. Minoxidil is making hairloss worse without DHT blocking and derma Rolling can lead to scars.

@@jankramarczyk9365 dermarollers dont lead to intense scarring if you do it right. People doing 1.5mm every week which is just asinine when they should be doing that once a month. Then use a .25 one to absorb the topicals. Im getting my 1mm today and Im gonna use that once every 2 weeks. Not every week like some of these dudes be doing cuz thats doing more damage than good.

ahmed nasr he’s not retired he is still working at organ technologies but as an advisor. It literally doesn’t mean good or bad. It could also mean they’re about to start trials for hair cloning and has to do with Japanese conflict interest laws or something. Which is still not bad news.
