Oh my goodness Shaun open that can of worms from all the cast iron “experts” 😂😂😂 I wash mine too, with soap and water if it’s really stuck on. Usually though a quick wipe and I’m good to use it again or I use the old hot pan hot water steam bath. My cast iron was my life savor, I had gone through so many of the “non-stick pans” which always stick on me.

I wash my cast iron skillets too. I dry them off and then I sit them on the stove eye for just a couple minutes to make sure it's dried off good. I don't even put oil back in mine. Mine never rust up either. I've had mine for gosh...over 30 years now. They are hard on your wrist though. All the food ya'll cooked looks really good. Glad the kids and the doggies got to run around at the track and have so much fun. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

@bonniebrown6960 Жыл бұрын
@@YouSUBSCRIBE739 , absolutely. It's not a problem at all to wash them in dish washing liquid and water. The trick is to set them on the stove top/eye for just a couple of minutes after washing them in dish soap and rinsing them really well. As long as they get really dry, they won't rust. . 🙂👍 I also use what I call a chain dish-rag to clean mine. You know they are sort of like SOS pads. Don't use the Cooper ones. Use the stainless steal kind. That helps too and it helps to let them sit and soak for just a little while too. That's how I clean mine anyway.

Your not support to wash cast iron. Take a papper towel & just wipe it out. If you do wash it do not take a scrubber to it, just use a dish cloth & wash it like your plates & glasses, put it on the stove to dry it out or it can rust. There's season grease you can buy & put it all over it. You can cook after Appling it. You should preseason it in the over about ever 3 months too. Iron cookware can take a beating & keep on cooking with them forever. Best thing that was invented in history. I've had my iron cookware that my greatgrandma x3, grandma x1, my Mother, then me. I love it so much. Happy cooking & God bless, Chris from Missouri
