Family this story brings all the way to Kansas City Missouri in the 1950’s…. This case was dubbed the largest ransom in the history of the USA at the time. Clock into this shift and let me know your thoughts in the comment section!!

Bobby started a movement in school where when you pick up a child they have procedures that you have to follow. You can’t just walk into a school and pick up a child. And that’s the way it should be. ❤

About 25 years ago, my sister in law asked me if I could pick up her son from school. She gave me a permission note. I went to the school office, gave the note and my driver's license to the secretary. She didn't even look at them. She just told me what room he was in. I told my sil about it, and she went to the school the next day and let that secretary have it!

I was in a abusive relationship and I had a young daughter. He had threatened to do something to my daughter when I got out. I told her school what was going on and no one else would ever pick her up but me. He went to the school and claimed to be her Dad and he was taking her to a doctor appointment. They brought her down to the office. She said he is not my Dad and I will not go with him. She as a first grader told me this happened not the school. The next day when I dropped her off I let loose on the people in the office. That a first grader new how to protect herself when those adults didn't.

I can understand the father still protecting his son. Not wanting his son to relive all the fear and pain of that day. I would have like to say, in the end, that I thought that they were great parents and am so glad they are together and will never be separated ever again. I want to leave them with positive feelings on our part.

This is a tragic story. Thank you for being so considerate and respectful to the family. Even in death, the Dad was very protective of his son. Laws have changed in schools these days for removing children from school. As a retired teacher, I know that there has to be written permission, a photo id and many times a phone call to release a child from school. Maybe Bobby's death had something to do with this. This story pulled at my heart strings. Peace to the Greenlease family. 😿❤❤❤ Sandy from Florida
