One of my first jobs in the movie business was a runner for a trailer company that was working on Little Nicky in 1999. I had to drive tapes to Sony Pictures of edits of the trailer. I'm from Boston and was wearing a Boston Bruins hat, and when I delivered the tapes to the office, it was Adam Sandler and his crew, just hanging out. If you've seen Happy Gilmore, you know that Sandler is a big Boston Bruins fan from his jersey, and he started talking to me about the Bruins and their upcoming season. It was one of my most surreal first experiences of the movie industry. I'll always remember it.

The stretch from '95 thru '99 was where I think Adam defined who he was as an actor. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, Waterboy & Big Daddy. He made a few that were decent after that, but I think this particular window of five years were his best.
