I honestly hate how people could possibly cut an animal's ears off. I just cant think why anyone would hurt, starve or leave an animal to die. Im not usually an "eye for an eye" type of person, but in this case I think "two ears for two ears" would be more than appropriate. And I wish whoever did it would get to do it with a dull blade. It takes a person with no soul, no heart, to do what was done to Piglet. Piglet is so darn adorable, and intelligent that so many people would have loved to have given him a loving home from the beginning. Ears or no ears, he is a very, handsome Dude, and he is so lucky to have had a second chance at life with wonderful, loving, and caring people. Thank goodness there are more people like the foster mom and his adoptive mom and dad than those that are just plain cruel that get off on physically abusing animals. Thank you all for being so kind and loving. I also love Jasper, the dog with the constant smile! He is hysterical! Thank you for adopting these animals. They have such a great life now. I would love to do the same, but unfortunately, I cannot afford the vet bills, and all animals need good healthcare, just like humans. God Bless you!

Some years ago i couldn't catch up with a little dog running free as fast as he could go here in Sacramento. I stopped and quietly said, "little doggie, go home before you get hit by a car." then went inside. About 20 minutes later when outside again he is under a tree sniffing around. He allowed me to pick him up, clean him up, feed and hold him. His ears were not freshly cut but one was about 2/3rds gone and the other about 1/3rd gone. Kept him for a while then turned him over to Front Street Shelter then went back and adopted him. Very sweet animal with huge bark for a small dog.

Glad I hadn't put my make up 9n yet whew...... Cuz this made me emotional..... He's just a sweet angel.... He's an awesome boy..... The tears at first were because of his poor ears, and the terror he must have gone through, terror and pain, God the pain had to have been next level.... But then tears of laughter and happiness seeing him finally get to be just a dog and getting his furever home..... Piglet you are an amazing pup!!!!

How fantastic is this story when the dog gets adopted by a GREAT COUPLE and finds a permanent home that he can live out of.... Thank you for what you do. My little tripod is sleeping next to me right now, a graduate of the great work that Front Street does. She came to me after Ricardo fostered her after a fractured pelvis and a late night drop off. She was on the kill list due to the severity of her injuries. She was missing a leg, but this could have been a birth defect. So when she showed up at Front street, she could only use her front legs to move around. In pain, Ricardo fostered her back to health. And the she found me. And together, we won the life lottery.
