We’ve got 3 Yorkies that we saved from a puppy mill. They were no longer “useful” and were going to be put down after many litters. Somehow my roommate found out about them and called and offered to take them off their hands so we drove 5 hours from home to go get them. The only way they would give them to us was if we met in a parking lot at a Walmart because they didn’t want us to see where these poor dogs had been living. It took months for them to finally start to feel comfortable with us but now they’re cuddly and know they’re in their forever home.

@@Sheila612Miller my mom got a puppy who came from a mill. Poor puppy almost died from kennel cough and had hip dysplasia or something similar. We used to have to put on full protective clothes to visit her at the animal emergency center and she was quarantined from the other dogs. We'd come visit and she'd have dried blood on her nose. It was sooooo sad. She was a tough little one though and overcame it all and went on to live 13 happy years with us. Suzy was a great little Westie.

I rode in a helicopter over Niagara Falls and it was terrifying! They left the door open so the people in the middle could see the scenery, but even though strapped in it felt like I was gonna fall out! Once was enough

My dad was a paratrooper in the Korean war and I would ask him about helicopters when I was a kid in the seventies and he would always say hell no and pretty much everything you stated Lamont is what I grew up hearing. I’m not for everyone receiving capital punishment, but some people I just don’t why they don’t, and why tax payers let them live comfortably for years and years, when back then it took only two years to let them live. So Theora was a college student with $5,000 saved up in the summer of 1929. She was smart, just weeks later after her murder in 1929 the stock market, it was the start of the Great Depression. Her $5,000 would have gone a long way back then.

Back in the late 60's I worked for a dry cleaner/laundry and customers use to have standing orders (the customer could also call at any time to have a pickup) to have clothes picked up on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. Drivers would pick up the clothes, they'd be cleaned, and the driver would return the clothes to the customer's house. I'll bet the suit was returned from the cleaners while the cops were there, or they noticed the suit hanging in a dry-cleaning bag, and it would have had the cleaners name, with a ticket attached, which would show the pickup and delivery date. Great coverage of the murder!
