The behavior depends on the moisture analyzer model. Normally the determiantion starts at room temerpture. It can be higher if two samples are measured directly after each other and the heat from the first measurement is still in the system. With our moisutre analyzer HX204 it's possible to define the start temperture sing the "preheating" funtion which is a method parameter, with the moisutre analyzer HE53 this function is not available.

Can this analyzer be calibrated for temperature? We have an accredited method and if we want to buy and use it , we have to calibrate both for weight and for temperature.

Thank you for your message. The minimum and maximum sample weight depends on the moisture content of your sample. Generally, the sample weight should be between 1 g and 5 g if the moisture content is over 1 %MC.
