In my opinion, the Boom MP is what the Speed MP should have been, fast, stable with good pop and feel. The recent Speeds have been quite sluggish and not very manouverable to me.

I am a 4.5 player and have demo'd a lot of rackets over the past month. I hit the mpl well. I am going to demo the MP and the mpl today to see which one I will buy. I think the MP will give a little more punch on volleys due to the weight. We will see.

Thanks for testing this one. I use the Boom MP, very comfortable for the arm and easy to play with. I haven't seen anyone else using it.

Very few to none people are using this racket around me, but when the 1st gen came out in 2022, I bought the MP version for my female client, she switched to it from Babolat Pure Drive 300g and she absolutely loves the forgiving play and nice feel she gets from the Boom MP - she plays a lot better with it and she can play whole 1,5 hours without feeling any fatigue or tiredness in her arm. The Booms are really hidden gems in my opinion. Perfect club level/recreational tennis racket.

Interesting this means that auxetic 2 can give more crisper response. From reviews i have heard this is not the case for speed 2024 and prestige 2024 that are pretty muted for people. Please review the boom pro. Is the extreme and boom the most crisp racquets from head these days?
@CzechTennisGuy8 ай бұрын
I would say yes - Extremes have the most crisper feel, that sometimes might feel hollow or wooden, when you hear that "crack" in the frame when hitting hard. Booms feel crisp too, but not that crisp like Extremes. Speeds feel more solid, more muted in my opinion and that's also the reason why they are more stable, heavier, with a lot higher swingweight. There is more "padding" in the frame. So the Booms are really a nice blend between easy hitting and light feeling Extremes and more solid, more heavy Speeds. But I will not review the Boom Pro version because I did not received it from the store I review them for.

Hello my friend!!! First of all, thank you very much for sharing so many great videos!!! I am determined to keep a Head! I come from playing with a Pure Aero 2019, I have tried the Head Speed MP but it seems very stable (I love it) but not very maneuverable and very heavy to move for hours… the next one is my choice is the Head Extreme MP with some lead to take away the wild launch, and a third option that I have seen watching your video is the Boom MP… although I have seen on the Prostocktenis website the Prostock Boom 2024 with 295 swingweigh and weight 300gr! What option do you recommend? Is it what I am looking for and where do I come from? Thank you very much!!!! ❤️❤️❤️🎾🎾🎾

Hello Jesus, thanks for your support as always. Did you consider Boom Pro? It is a nice mixture of forgivness and precision, control. It's like a baby Speed Pro. I liked it. The Extreme MP is for sure a great option for faster swing and huge spin. I would also consider the Tour/Pro version of the Extreme. I didn't know about Boom Pro stock. Sounds like a nice option, although SW 295 unstrung means it will be around 325-330 strung, so pretty demanding. Probably the Extreme MP or even MP L is the way to go. Cheers ✌️

Tennis Guy would you recommend adding lead to this racket? and if so where and how much?
@CzechTennisGuy3 ай бұрын
For some reason I don't recommend this with the Boom series. It's little bit different. They really play well in the stock form. But of course if you want to customize it, start with the 3/9 oclock positions (3+3g), 12 oclock (2g) and leather grip to maintain the great manooovrlbity. This will increase the overall weight about 8g lead tape + 6-8g leather grip = up to 16g. So the racket will weight around 311g unstrung. But it will maintain the same manooovrlbity and balance (almost) around 318mm unstrung. The SW will increase around 15-20 points.

I didn't try the Boom Pro, but definitely it would suit my game better as I play with a 98in2 racket right now.

How would you compare 2024 Boom MP to Yonex Ezone 100?
@CzechTennisGuy6 ай бұрын
I know only the previous older Ezone 100- I think the Ezone has more free power. But the Boom MP 2024 is surprisingly control friendly, so it allows you to really hit the ball very hard and to maintain the precision. I think If you want more power, you get the Ezone 100 but if you want more controlled power, you get the Boom MP.

Thanks so much🙏. Also watched your Video on the blade and Head mp Series comparison. In your opinion would the Boom mp or the Blade 100 suit me better? Or in what ways are they different to you? I am female intermediate player 42 years started playing 3 years ago. I want to get better in technique , havent yet learned slices and my serve has still a Lot of Potential 😂. Goal is to compete against other women at our Club tournaments join some Hobby competitions. I am pretty sportive ( Mountainbike , Running). Looking for a racket that supports improving my skills while Not giving me a too hard time on the Court and that I will have for longer. Also if you trink I should look into another racket let me know.
@CzechTennisGuy8 ай бұрын
Glad to help. Just get the Boom MP. The Blade 100 is a level above and it's a racket you would hardly enjoy to it's full potential. If a Blade, then the 100L or 100UL version, but still I don't think you would benefit from it as much as with the Boom MP, which is more forgiving and it gives you the opportunity to strike hard and don't worry about the outcome. For sure there are more rackets you can try, but that would be exhausting and time consuming. The Boom MP is a safer bet that will also last you quite some time I think. And after that you learn slices and serve properly, you can step up your game with more control and feel (Blade etc.). I like simple solutions, they are almost always the best ones.
