My lord, all of these 'head drops' just makes wince.

Every time a stout and muscled Japanese guy does the "it's over" taunt, somebody usually gets dropped right on their head the next few seconds.

Considering how he tragically passed away, watching Misawa take bumps like this makes me wince
@ThunderFilez11 ай бұрын
Same here, it can be hard to watch. At the same time, I don't want what he did to his body lost to history. This can be both a tribute, and a warning to wrestlers to what can come of this wrestling style.

Ya he was injured and his neck was already in bad shape. Wear and tear. At that point he was basically doing this shit for 20 years. It’s amazing he even had a neck

Thank you very much for this edition, mate. Noah was my introduction to Misawa and Kobashi, so this was special - and incredulously brutal, but that's to be expected. So glad you put the pole shift flowsion, the emerald flowsion kai, and the burning hammer in the clip. And I think the death brand is a very underrated finisher. Excellent stuff, Ryan, me old mate. Once again, I am much obliged.

Dear aspiring wrestlers, this video is not an endorsement for nasty head bumps.
@ThunderFilez11 ай бұрын
It's definitely not an endorsement, I'm walking proof that if you replicate this style, there can be physical repercussions. But at the same time, these guys put their bodies and literal lives on the line for us. No matter Misawa's fate, I don't want what him and others put their bodies through lost in history. These guys deserve a video dedicated to them, for what they produced for us.

I know a lot of people don't like this style but we're not wrestlers and I'll trust their judgment and training over what "looks" bad. Yes, some of the bumps were a bit more "real" and sucked to take but when you're doing a live fighting performance, that realism adds to the story.

I wouldn't trust Mitsuharu Misawa's judgment on anything.
@stilnoxVisions11 ай бұрын
@@pronkb000 - left AJPW to form NOAH bringing with him legendary talent, took over the Japanese wrestling market until Tanahashi came around. NOAH remained strong and AJPW never once sniffed greatness again. I say his judgment was sound. If you're talking about the wrestling style, that's a risk people take and deaths are rare - even with that hard hitting style. Perro Aguayo JR. died from a dropkick by Rey Mysterio when he was setting him up for the 619. His neck hit the ropes and died of cardiac arrest due to cervical stroke.
